Looks like Anthony Pettis' next opponent is going to be Clay Guida. Can't wait, Clay's finally gonna be wearing the belt.

Will be like Pettis vs any wrestler. If he can catch them in a sub, he wins.

    Otherwise he loses a decision.

Pettis was over confident he could submit him from his back. Pettis won that fight imo via actually trying to fight/finish while Guida did the ol Clay n' Pray

Wins over Pettis, RDA, and Gomi in a row. Never forget.

Also has wins over Thomson and Diaz.

Posts like this always make me laugh. Pettis has improved his takedown defense so much and it keeps getting better. Guida would be an easy win for Pettis at this point, the only threatening wrestler for him is Khabib.

it has improved so much through the time that he's been injured yearly and being taken taken down by every wrestler he fights clearly proves your point.

Clay's hair and head movement is like the pungi flute to the "cobra" Pettis. Makes him go into a trance... that's when Clay takes him down for some good humpin!!

That's a TERRIBLE post. Nevermind he was on his way to winning a decision in his last two fights, even if he didn't get the finish then, or later, which were both highly probable.

He came back to win the first round against Bendo, of five, and those kicks would have continued to pay dividends throughout the fight. They also signaled an adjustment he made.

Then he was taking over with a minute and a half left in the 1st against Melendez, still probably got edged in the round, but was virtually dominating the 2nd. He hurt Melendez 4 times with his back to the fence. You know fighters aren't winning just cuz they're going forward, right?

He beat Bendo by decision in their first fight too, and was on his way to doing the same against Roller b4 he just decided to finish him at the end to leave no doubt.

Pettis is probable to finish wrestlers, but he will probably beat them by decision too if they are fortunate to make it that far. Guida, in an octagon debut, in the small cage, in a fight reffed by Mazzagatti, is the lone exception.

Pettis would have murked Guida in an immediate rematch.

Wouldn't even be a fair fight now.
