2013 - 2014 Pettis - he is coming back after injury. He raped Cowboy Cerrone in matrix style in first round. He destroyed Benson Henderson as well in first round. Then he gets injured again. He is coming back again and destroys Melendez.
2013 - 2014 Diaz - after 5 rounds beating from Benson Diaz gets smashed by Josh Thomson. Later Diaz destroys past prime Maynard but one year later RDA beat the shit out of him.

2013-2014 Diaz is calling out Pettis. 99% fans thoughts Pettis would destroy him by head kick or leg kicks easily. I remember all same comments on few different forums "Diaz is too slow for him", "Pettis is one of the best fighters of all time", "Diaz doesnt check kicks", "even Josh Thomson kicked the shit out of him" "Pettis is a monster on the ground as well".

Since then Diaz only beat 2 MMA boxers like Michael Johnson and Conor. He is coming back after 3 years lay off. Diaz always had a problems with guys who can kick and who can wrestle. McGregor used leg kicks for the first time in Diaz rematch and he has done lot of damage. However his leg kicks were predictable and not too good - lot of single kicks without combinations thats why even Diaz checked a few leg kicks.

Pettis looks healthy now, he is so fast and he might be in his prime. Im surprised so many people thinks Diaz can win this fight. Diaz wont outwrestle Pettis, he doesnt have ko power, he cant mix things up like Tony Ferguson and he cant deal with the kicks.

I think Pettis dominates him on the feet easily for 30-27 victory using leg kicks and combinations.
He can finish Diaz by head/liver kick as well.

Not sure about his prime but he looks more comfortable at 170. Its a shame 170 has the worst match ups for him with there being so many wrestlers in it.

I'm down to see Pettis/Lee, Robbie, RDA rematch and Pettis/Ponz though.

Pettis destroys him with leg kicks and movement for three rounds for an easy UD. People seem to forget how many times Diaz has been completely dominated.

Fighters evolve

Something your poor analysis doesn't account for

Pettis should be the favourite n everything you said is true, however

The fight is at 170 n Diaz filled out his frame since his lw days

Pettis has suspect gas tank

Doesn’t look durable

Doesn’t use wrestling much

Doesn’t like gruelling type of fight that Diaz will try to impose

Again Pettis should be the favourite, but we’ve seen Diaz beat the odds over n over: Conor, cowboy, Johnson, Miller...

Everything you said is correct.... even worse than you documented.
Big problem- Vegas opens Pettis up only -125. Hmmmmmmm.
I was already going to bet Nate on principle cause everyone saying the same thing.
My bet was going to be small cause I'm not a Nate guy but t.s just made me more confident that Nate going to win cause things and what people are saying are lining up too perfect yet the fight is basically a pk'em.
Yep- this is where I go against the grain and I turn down Las Vegas generous invitation to bet Anthony.

Pre-USADA Pettis who was twice as wide when he fought Melendez as he is now might beat Diaz.

If Pettis can't put him out early... I can see Diaz lighting one up in the second half of the fight... Think the fight only being 15 minutes plays into Pettis' favor...

Your a fucking idiot lol. Did you make this post to help convince yourself of your shitty opinion? It isn’t 2013, it’s 2019. Pettis struggles against pressure fighters; he lost to Dustin, Max, and Tony. Diaz will apply the same amount of forward pressure if not more than any of those three. Also, since when has Pettis ever been a good wrestler? Diaz is a black belt under Cesar Gracie... get your head out of your ass

Both guys can win this fight . I’m leaning towards Pettis Becuse for the first time in a long time he pressured someone(wonderboy) . Idk if it’s a Rofus sport thing , but woodley and Pettis will just let u walk them down . Nate is going to be bigger but he’s not consistent. He may let Pettis off the hook. And people keep saying leg kicks , watch out for body kicks !!! .

You are a fucking idiot like your boy in avatar.
Yes its 2019 not 2013 it means Diaz didnt fought 3 years, he's 34 y.o., Pettis i 32 y.o. and he's active.
Poirier loss - injury, Poirier have cardio for days and he can kick&wrestle - Diaz cant kick&wrestle.
Holloway loss - weight cutting issue, but don't compare Max to Nate, completely different fighters.
Ferguson loss - Tony is great everywhere. Even his striking is from both stances, Diaz is only southpaw. Plus muay thai and wrestling. Pettis still knocked him down.
Yeah Diaz is a legit black belt, Pettis is legit as well. It will be striking battle. Both fighters doesnt use his wrestling. Its a fight between Pettis taekwondo and Diaz boxing.

Fighters evolve

Something your poor analysis doesn't account for

Diaz evolved? Dont be silly. He's only using his boxing and jiu jitsu like always. Still wide boxing stance and his leg is always in trouble.
Pettis evolved. His striking and grappling skillset is unbelievable.
15 minutes is on Pettis side as well. 25 minutes can favor Diaz cause he's durable.

If Pettis can't put him out early... I can see Diaz lighting one up in the second half of the fight... Think the fight only being 15 minutes plays into Pettis' favor...

Would be the most hilarious DQ loss in history.
