I will preface this by saying that I've only just started getting into kickboxing, so my knowledge of the sport is not great.

One of the guys I like watching videos of is Giorgio Petrosyan.

Does anyone know why he doesn't compete under the Glory banner all that much? I know he's had a few fights in Glory but he also seems to have fight elsewhere.

From what I understand, Glory is the best kickboxing organisation in the world (I could be massively wrong here). So I guess I'm asking why he doesn't fight in Glory as regular as the other top guys?

Glory was the best oganization of kickboxing in the world, but they lost this title since 2014,where other organizations growed like Kunlun and K-1 japan on the lower classes.

nowdays Kunlun contracted the better fighters and they are always contracting best guys in variate weight divisions, they have the best LW division on the sport, what means a lot to rate a kickboxing organization on kickboxing recent history, considering LW division is the most competitive weight division about worldwide talents(it was always since k-1 max developed it,i think that LW division in the past, like since 2004 was better than HW in terms of competition and development of new talents, while HW had the superstars getting old and the division declined a lot since that happened)

Petrosyan isnt too much active since he lost by KO to andy ristie on glory 12 4 man tournament final,he took a year without compete since it happened and only came back in january of 2015(more than a year without fight),since that glory declined a lot for a lot of motives and the grow of chinese organizations as kunlun and WLF,k-1 monopolizing most of the best kickboxers under 70kg just deteriorated them more...

Since his loss Petrosyan is more controled by his sponsors and teams, and his hometown promotion Oktagon is what basically control his career and opponents for now,the only time he fought in glory since that was in glory 25(where it was in milan,a event in cooperation with Oktagon).

He was sheduled to fight against two big names this year, but sadly the bad luck attacked, the first was on oktagon 2016 where he was sheduled to face the tough Enriko Gogokhia who gave Sitthichai a hard fight on kunlun 70kg tournament final and the second on who happened two days ago, monte carlo fight masters against the another tough Chingiz Allazov but some shit who i dont remember happened and petrosyan was replaced by Enriko Kehl

Maybe we could see him in a Facing Sitthichai on glory in near future,on Oktagon next year in his hometown,we just hope he come back to fight against the elite again soon,he is 30yo now,he haves like 2 or 3 years(being optimistic)of prime so he have no time to loose

Edit:Welcome to sherdog!!:),you are on the coolest part of sherdog now :D
