As a fan of Figueiredo this is a really tough fight for him and especially if it ends up being five rounds. I do like Yan and won't mind seeing him get back into the title picture but I really want Figgy to get a title shot at 135.

If ita 5 rounds I give Figueredo little to not chance. Yan on the other, I used to think he was p4p one of the most skilled fighters we've ever seen in MMA, I kinda still do but I also feel some of his bad habits have caught up to him. 1. He starts slow and routinely gives up the first round, even in 3 round fight and can take 2 rounds before he gets going in championship fights. 2. His footwork is pretty slow and plodding, we saw Aljo really take advantage of this with a kick and move strategy and I think Omalley being fleet of foot gave Yan trouble as well.

It would be cool to see Yan turn a page, not just "get back to old form" but show us a little more cage cutting and ring craft with footwork and maybe be able to start a little quicker and fights and show urgency at times as well. I literally think the guy has the full package but there's something lacking. He debatably beat Aljo twice and Omalley, I think he beats Figgy too...figgy ain't that guy, I don't want to see him fight for a 135lb title. I'll take the eggs to the face if he pulls this off gladly.

Cody was getting the better of Figgy in the first round.
So, Petr shouldn't have much trouble if the fight stays standing.

If Figgy scores takedown that's where it becomes dangerous for Petr. Figgy has better bjj than Aljo.

It'll be a fun fight for sure, but sort of sucks for Figgy. He has put in a lot of work in a fairly small amount of time since moving up and has gotten several good wins. People were talking about him potentially deserving the title shot. Meanwhile, Yan just recently snapped a three-fight losing streak. I am actually sort of surprised that he is/was still as ranked so highly in the wake of all that, despite defending his rank against Yadong.

As for the fight itself, I'll probably favor Yan. In a five-rounder I think it strongly leans Petr's way, but if it's just three... close to 50/50, but I'd probably still give Yan a very slight edge though I wouldn't be surprised to see Figgy win under those circumstances.

isn't yan coming off an acl surgery exceptionally fast, or am I imagining that?

May not be.
Rare event in China. Dana might stack it up.
I think Zhang will headline this card.

Who would zhang fight? The top contenders in her division are booked.

Hope they load up the card.

Weilli and Song have to be added to the main card as well.

Yeah Weili surely is due to be booked by now - but who does she fight after the UFC booked Tatiana vs Virna?

I can see Yan Xiaonan getting Amanda Lemos or something similar, then everyone else is booked! Dern vs Ribas, Rodriguez vs Lucindo, Andrade just lost at 125...

Unless she's moving up to 125 for a super fight, I'm not sure who Zhang faces!

I don't see an argument for Yan beating Aljo in the rematch, Aljo won 3 rounds 1 of which was a 10-8 round. He clearly beat O'Malley though in one of the biggest robberies I have seen. I do think Yan wins though but wouldn't count Figgy out. He has looked much better at 135 than he did at 125 and he is well rounded and tough as nails. Not really rooting for either just hoping for a competitive exciting fight.

Poor Fiorot
Yeah. If Rose wins against Erin, then Fiorot is not getting a title shot anytime soon.
Still, this superfight isn't confirmed. But I doubt they would do an event in China without Weili.
