SIR

Peter Sobotta floated after his first UFC victory last May in Berlin on cloud nine - one and a half years to Balingen had to suspend because of a severe illness, with the points victory against Pawel Pawlak on home soil the comeback fell for a thoroughly successful party.

A knee injury prevented then a quick return to the cage, and an ankle injury meant that he could not get into the Octagon at UFC Krakow on 11 April. Now Sobotta is fit again and has found his next challenge, namely the one that would have expected him also in Poland! So Sobotta is on 20 June meeting (14-4-1) at UFC Berlin on Sergio "The Panther" Moraes (9-2). Groundandpound.de got this information from sources close to the fighter confirmed.

why does the UFC want this matchup so bad?

Wish Sergio moraes would fight more often.

Magny being on the streak he is makes Sergio's last win that much more impressive.

Moraes looked very shaky against Lebout. Could have easily dropped that decision. I think many were in agreement that Lebout won that fight. Could be attributed to the extended layoff. His striking and stand-up in general still need a lot of work. Moraes will be 33 this summer, so he needs to get back in there and put together some performances if he wants to make any kind of a run.

Same can be said for Sobotta, though at 28, don't know what kind of a ceiling that he really has. Never thought he was that impressive in his first stint, though he did look much improved against Pawlak.

Moraes looked bad in his last fight, I think Sobotta by decision.

Weird that Sobotta is fit 1month later, when they badly needed Germans to fill the Berlin card...
