Conor was at the top after 194, it all came ended at 196.Conor had to come back from a humiliating, embarassing and devastating loss at UFC 196 against 11 days Notice Nate Diaz. It happened at UFC 202 when he avenged the loss against a much bigger Nate Diaz and it has to go down in history as the performance of the year for me. I started out as a Mcgregor hater and i wanted Aldo and Diaz to win. The latter happened and i wanted to see how Mcgregor reacted after a loss.

Im not even a Conor fan, but lets make an example. Did Ronda ask for an instant rematch against Holly? With everything taking into the mix Conor's performance at 202 outweighs EVERYTHING hes done BY FAR. IMO avenging the loss to Nate BY FAR outweighs his 205 performance. He showed heart, battling through adversity, fought a guy that had MINIMUM 15lbs on him, fought a guy that literally beat him, choked him out. Conor was visibly emotional before the fight. Before 202 i thought Mcgregor was a bully fighter with no heart, god damn he proved me wrong.

This performance might even be the performance of the decade. You have my vote Conor.

Im not arguing that it wasn't impressive, but his 202 performance by far outweighs his 205 performance. He showed everything a fighter has to be at 202. At 205 he fought his bully style since he was the bigger man. At 202 he was the smaller man by far. Nate had atleast 15 lbs on him.

The question to ask newbie.......is why didn't Conor offer Nate an immediate rematch after 202?

I think this is baiting Conor haters. Obviously that wasn't performance of the year. His fight vs Alvarez may have been. Or Bisping vs Rockhold.

Performance of the year? Hmmmm? I'd have to say fat, tequila-breath, hung over Nate Diaz rolling off the coach from Cabo San Lucas and making Conor McGregor beg for his life (using sign language because his throat was constricted) in front of the whole world. Yea... I'd say that was the performance of the year.
You can say Conor "won" the rematch if you're a liberal, but the fact is; Nate ends Conor's life right there on the spot if no referee saves conor. Conor ended fight #2 with Nate on top of him AGAIN raining down blows and about to choke him out and make him beg again

Performance of the decade is Josh Thomson TKO Nate Diaz, well Idk how long ago that fight was but you get the picture.

Conor over Diaz in the rematch was a great fight, but certainly not performance of the year in my opinion. Again great fight though and I'm glad Conor won the rematch

Im not saying that it was the best skillfull display in that fight. BUT look at the facts. He got beat by short notice Diaz the first time. This time, Diaz had a full camp. Diaz was alot bigger than the first fight, but Conor didn't give up like he did in the first contest.

Conor righted his wrong, I'll definitely say that. I don't think Nate is much bigger than Conor in mass though. Nate is softer and taller, but Conor is more physically built

Lets be real here, i agree Conor is more muscular than Nate, but Nate had ATLEAST 10lbs on him fight night. Lets be real. In the first contest i believe Nate was under 180lbs, but he was over that in the second fight.

Woodley beating Lawler is far more impressive than anything Conor has done this year.

That means Nate would weigh 180+ on fight night? Idk, but I don't think size was a disadvantage to Conor. Diaz fought most his career at 155 and Conor kills himself to make 145. In my eyes they are both 155'ers who had a gentleman's agreement to fight at 170 and not cut any weight

He struggled against Nate Diaz (who is not a top fighter). Yes he did win the fight but that's not something to brag about

Nate kills himself to make 155 though. He has even missed weight once.

But why would he do that? Do people actually find that funny? I hate jokes that aren't funny
