Facebook

Content that contains self-harm or excessive violence.

"Plandemic" discourages vaccines, masks (says you can infect yourself with your own COVID), says we should all end quarantine and go to the beach because they have "healing microbes"

Plandemic meets all of the criteria for self-harm and harmful content.
So yes, Youtube and Facebook has every right to censor that BS

The ones who dislike it tend to be bigger defenders of capitalism. As such they should have zero issue with discrimination as if you dont like it go support a platform with your views. Or start your own youtube.

One could always use Chinese, Russian, or other countries social media which is less PC and allows you to say racially charged things or anti trans etc. Just dont say stuff against the governments platforn whom you use.

On another note.

Facebook is selective. It operates in Turkey and other countries and people can post more extreme content on Facebook in Turkey or say South Africa then they can in the UK, unless its against the government it seems.

I wish they banned "Stay the fuck home!" memes in March. It allowed many people to guilt trip their FB friends into being silenced. People with mostly liberal friends are afraid to post about how warm weather and summer will slow the spread of covid FFS this is idiotic.

It seems okay to spread panic...odd since spreading panic is just as damaging.

that may be their written criteria for censorship but they have most definitely gone well beyond that already.....

you may be okay with communist level censorship but a lot of people arent

I get the private company arguement but these companies were in on the ground floor of the internet and at this point are so big and ingrained in society that's like saying start your own internet.

I think banning these people actually gives them more credibility or at the very least demonstrates an agenda that views outwith the mainstream will not be tolerated. If what these people say is bullshit then let them speak and explain why they are wrong, deplatforming them is not the way to go.

I also find it hilarious that YouTube, the company that has a massive problem with showing incredibly inappropriate videos to children and rarely taking them down is lecturing others on spreading harmful videos

I can find videos of people physically attacking other people for the purpose of putting it on the net, but no unauthorized views allowed?

They expose themselves as being totally political.
