People thinking Khabib is just a "blanket" should watch another sport.

I seriously can't believe how many people on Sherdog call Khabib a blanket, one dimensional or boring. Apart from being one of the most dangerous/best fighters in the world he does huge damage to opponents when he takes them to the ground. He also avoids too much damage when striking and basically is one of the toughest puzzles to solve in MMA. If you don't like that you don't like MMA imo.

Some fighters might use a takedown as a way to stall a fight and win rounds, you could call them blankets, but that is not what Khabib is doing at all. He does more damage on the ground than most strikers do while standing up. He is able to impose his will on basically every fighter he has ever fought and dictates how the fight goes. That is next level MMA skills.

If you think Khabib is boring or a blanket, you might want to check out kickboxing or muay thai, MMA obviously is not the sport for you.

A lot of them are just scared Conor fans who want to downplay his win, pay no attention to them

Khabib is not a blanket in the sense of being passive on top.

I can understand some who don't appreciate his style, but his GnP is pretty great.

1) Dry humping is not dangerous
2) Some guys bruise easy
Goddamn you're an idiot.

Khabib is nothing without the help of a fence.

He should try and grapple in the centre of the Octagon.

Then I would be impressed.

He is a savage and hands out vicious beatings on the regular. McDuck fans are shook so they will say he cant strike, has pillow fist, fat, boring LnP blanket. In reality he is the best fighter in the whole sport at implementing his game plan on opponents, and is a monster once he grabs you. If you dont like watching khabib then im confused why your on an mma forum

Khabib is a blanket? Who even says that?

Dude is an absolute machine. I watched the fight with my wife, who asked who I was rooting for. At the time I wasn't sure, I like both fighters- but upon reflection, I realised it was Barboza I wanted to win- because Khabib was just so predictable. He's so damn good at what he does that as soon as he gets hold of someone against the cage, it's basically all over- he fights like a middleweight on the ground. I literally felt sorry for Barboza as he got completely beat up on the ground, and looked clueless as to how to stop it. His whole body was tied up and Khabib was just taking clean shots at his face relentlessly.

I'd love to see someone take Khabib out, but at the same time it's fascinating watching him implement the exact same gameplan over and over against people who know what he wants to do, and still can't do a damn thing about it.

I love watching the guy fight. It is next-level shit. He's able to ragdoll everyone he fights and his gnp and passing is some of the best I've ever seen.

I want to see him fight 5 rounds against Tony.

Read people saying that at least 10 times today. Yeah i know...

And same here, he is what Ronda was to WMMA, but her puzzle got solved big time... Khabib's puzzle will remain unsolved for a while i think.

Jake Shields is a blanket lol

Once Khabib gets you down he beats your ass

Blankets don't punch and pound your face in. Muthafuckas don't know shit.

Nah he is not a blanket at all, Jared Rosholt for example is what you call a blanket. Khabib is a lot more active and throws a lot of ground 'n' pound. Its mostly scared Conor fans that try to say bad stuff about him, they do the same with Tony too.
