Anybody familiar with people like this? I've known a number of people over the years that are like this. They constantly post shit about how Dodge is better than Chevy, or Ford is better than dodge or whatever the fuck. Constantly posting retarded memes like "If you can't hear your boyfriend coming home from 2 blocks away then you have a girlfriend" etc etc.

Got into it with this one dumb redneck chick in particular a few weeks ago who had the same behavior (constantly posting retarded truck shit). All I did was comment on one post saying "Well you know, statistically Toyota is far more reliable than any domestic auto maker". Because I believe her post was about Chevy's being pieces of shit or whatever. Literally, her response to my calm statement of fact was "Take your Toyota and fuck off :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:!" I don't even drive a toyota lmfao. It was like she took my comment as an attack on her very identity.

/end facebook argument rant.

But yeah, have you taken notice of people like this? How fucking stupid is it to base your life and identity on a fucking truck?

Their penises are smaller than a very small adult-sized penis.

Forget about trucks.

There are people that do this with any type of vehicle.

Vehicular status symbolism is not limited to backwood hicks.

Yeah those people are stupid and so are facebook arguments with them. You probably don't even own a truck ya :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::)

Best bumper sticker I've ever seen was on a smart car...

"Nice truck, sorry about your penis."

Wasn't much of an argument. I just stated a fact, got called a :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: for it, I called her on obsessing over trucks and basing her life on them. Then I unfriended her lol.

Yeah no truck currently, I do miss my 82 blazer with the 6.2 diesel ='[

Looked just like that without the tinted windows.

It's just rednecks trying to out redneck each other, brah.

People do this with everything.

Vehicles(of all kind), tools, sports teams, etc.

I think the small dick thing is literally just butt hurt poor people.

The Ford / Chevy / Dodge rivalry is hilarious, its like the 5th place team pissing on the 6th place team.

To think I used to stick up for you.

Does your local utility have this same dick problem you are talking about? How many people that actually use trucks for work are you including in this?

See Albertan's (most of whom don't mud with their muddin truck).

It seems though like the bigger, the more important the object (a vehicle/ your mode of transportation or work vehicle) the more people base their identity off of it. But it's no less pathetic than basing your identity off of a power tool.

To think I used to stick up for you.

Look man I like trucks and four wheeling as much as any guy but people that base their identity on it and talk about it constantly are stupid. Most of these people are also vehemently anti foreign trucks because "america" or something.

Depends on what you like and what your needs are. I've always seen pickup trucks as a specialized utility vehicle for hauling and towing stuff. People around here think they're the ultimate winter vehicle, even though a bunch of them end up fishtailing at 60 km/h all the way to work after a snowfall. I just shake my head and pass them in my Evo.

I didn't grow up around them and now that I'm surrounded by them and own one myself, by virtue of living out in the sticks, my views haven't really changed much. I have one for hunting and because I've got a shitty Mazda 2.3L, 4 banger, it's actually cheaper to drive than my car and I like the luxury of not giving a shit about if it gets beat up on shitty, rural Saskatchewan highways.

But whatever floats (or in this case, tows) your boat.

It's no different than Diva Debbie and her True Religion jeans.

Just dumb asses deep as a puddle.

If end up relocating for work, in the next few years, I'll get rid of my Mazda and I would like to replace it with a Tacoma. I don't own a boat or a camper; I'm not a construction worker or a farmer; I don't need a big ass, gas guzzling engine with some ridiculous payload. I own a truck for moving a dead animal from the field to the meat grinder.

I'm partial to Tacomas because I refuse to own an automatic and I like the brand's track record for reliability. But that's just me. Anyone else can "Big 3" all they want, I don't really care.

There sure are a lot of people concerned about whether people own a truck and whether or not they use it for XYZ.

I own a truck because I like trucks. Too bad for you if your feelz go offside at the premise.

I actually hate four wheeling and I think people that trespass and destroy property while four wheeling should be shot.

I don't like or dislike trucks, anymore than I like or dislike a hammer. They are tools. I ended up white collar but grew up on the farm. I am so sick of hearing people point to someone I know then say they are compensating.

I have to tell them no, he is going to hook to a trailer and move a tank full of water to where a well failed.

People forget that a large percentage of them are used as tools, not status symbols.

The reason few Toyota's are used is capacity and towing power. The Toyota I think is a much better plaything but it does not have the pulling power nor the capacity to do some of the work that domestic trucks have. Not a thing to do with snobbery.
