The man was a bad match up for silva. He beat a 38 year old man that was slowing down since the first sonnen fight. I'm not taking away this victory though, nor that i'm denying his skills. But what do we really know about this guy? Mousasi was said to be the next mw champion from people following him since his debut. What happened? he showed his true colors when facing true adversity.
Good strikers with a good bjj base might be a big threat against him ( pride wanderlei, pride shogun, belfort, machida..) but we sure can't say anything before we see more about him. Don't understant why sherdoggers put him as the future goat or the man that could beat Jones. From what i've seen so far, he would get MURDERED by Jones. Let's keep calm and wait for the rest

I agree that people who call him the GOAT and the guy who will murder Jones to be a bit far-fetched, but you shouldn't discredit his wins over Anderson by calling him a 38 year old man, you say it as if Anderson wasn't destroying everyone before the Weidman fight, he may have slowed down post Sonnen fight, but he was still the best. The Chris is the best in the division until proven otherwise.

    - One of the very best BJJ guys in the division.
    - The best wrestler in the division
    - Smashed the greatest striker in MMA history on the feet twice. One of the best strikers in the division.

You haters need to accept the hype is real. The Chris has been only training MMA for like 4 years and obliterated one of the greatest fighters in MMA.

If Chris gets passed Machida he will rule MW for a long, long time.

Were you expecting the man that KO'd Anderson Silva to not be hyped up?

Don't tell me when to chill the f*ck down, you're not the boss of me.

Weidman is already the GOAT and will be for the next 37.8 years.

    Chill down?

He beat Anderson. Imagine a HW beating Fedor. He would obviously be the best HW out there.

    Hey pal.

If losing to Jones means you can't be MW Champ, you might wanna look up UFC 140 and 152.

He beat Anderson twice, no one of that W's was a fluke. Since billion people will come in here saying checking a leg kick is a fluke and happens instinctual or whatever the fuck they bring up as an argument.

Also please stop with the myth of Lyoto having a ground game. His bottom game is trash as seen in the Henderson and Davis fights.

People will chill out when he retires 16-0 after having beat Machida, Jacare, Jones, DC, and 2 other up and comers.

The Weidman hype is similar to what the Dillashaw hype could turn into. Guy beats the best in the division and suddenly he is the greatest of all time. Though I don't see Sherdoggers running with the Dillashaw hype as much. Weidman needs more wins in my book. Fuck Mark Munoz.

That is a bit of an exaggeration don't you think? He gassed in the Maia fight but he took that fight on 11 days notice, so that was to be expected. He did seem to breath a little heavy in the first Anderson fight, but was still moving well and finished the fight moments later.
