Kelvin Gastelum is knocking people out at MW and fought the tallest middleweight Mano a Mano for 5 rounds.

Anthony Pettis just KOd a WW contender out cold.

Dan Cormier is a badass at Heavyweight.

Maybe killing yourself with a weight cut is not a good idea.

This. Darren Till fighting Yoel won't work for him. It all depends on style matchups. I know boxing is different, but Pacman and Floyd are guys who fight close to their natural weight. Granted, they are legends but still. The only time I think it matters a ton is when you have to face someone who is an absolute unit. Or someones who has elite wrestling.

TDD can only go so far. A significant size advantage greatly benefits good wrestlers.

Size matters at a certain point. See Weidman vs Gastelum.

Poirier has been looking great at LW, but im guessing he is still cutting about the same as others to make LW, even he used to be a FW before.

Kelvin Gastelum had a good record at WW, it was the weight cut what killed him there, and he was eventually forced to move, i would say his success was actually higher at WW, only two split decision losses.

Depends on the matchups. Size doesn't matter that much in striker vs striker matchups but wrestling someone bigger makes a difference.

Gastelum took more damage in his 2 MW losses than his 2 WW losses. Pettis landed a crazy punch but was getting chewed up before that. RDA won and defended a title at LW and has lost 2 in a row at WW. DC only lost to a guy on steroids at LHW. Conor went 7-0 at FW and is 2-2 at LW.

lol at Poirier being a gate keeper. In his last 4 fights he has 3 wins vs current or former champs and the 4th is vs Justin Gaethje.
