I feel like some people are mad at Stipe for not trying to finish when both of them were tired..... One man has like 30+ pounds on the other without even talking about the strength factor......yet the smaller one is trying to wrestle the bigger man... it takes a ton of energy, and we are not talking about regular "bigger", this is one of the biggest fighters if not THE biggest in the UFC period.

Francis can KO anyone at any point with 1 shot even if he is super tired, Stipe cannot, its a pretty clear gameplan that is a very smart gameplan that has been used over and over by some of our best champions in the past so im not sure why some have put this burden to finish on Stipe.

Just to wrestle this giant of a man in first round i cant imagine how much energy that had to take out of Stipe.

So please stop the QQ and respect both fighters, Francis for hanging in there and being a good sport even when he lost, and Stipe for facing this monster that has dominated everyone in a round and beating him....God knows they have brought us enough great fights in the past to deserve a semi lackluster fight out of respect to each other.

Ngannou showed nothing of the footwork/speed displayed in open workouts. Just wildly swinging to miss and then gassing after three minutes. Ludicrous performance.

Stipe gassed and played it safe since Ngannou is clueless on the ground and had a puncher's chance.

Really? He almost KO'd him multiple times in that fight...Was there a lot of action? No, but what do you expect in the HW division... Guys get tired fast, 5 rounds arent suited for HW's, not to mention 1 man has the power to cause earthquakes while the other has to figure out how to not die in the cage.....Yes Francis was tired and did not do much, but he rocked Stipe twice.... ive seen fights were less was done with more.....

Yeah I can't deny it was a boring fight but it was obvious Stipe was using cardio as part of his strategy. He put all his effort into his takedowns and completely exhausted Ngannou at the cost of exhausting himself as well.
