The dude has always been incredibly unpopular and people will hold on to anything they can to shit on him. I think the expectations were set too high, but that doesn't diminish his career achievements in any way.

1) Floyd is 44, retired, and has no obligation to perform at the level you expect from him. People get old and slow down pretty significally. If you can't understand and accept that, maybe you just don't know that much about boxing.

2) Floyd is small and hasn't been a KO artist since his mid 20's. He's also had multiple hand injuries. Why the hell were you expecting a KO against a guy 50 pounds heavier? Not that it couldn't happen, but why do you think that should be the expected outcome? Based on what? Do you think much superior skill should always translate in knockouts? It doesn't. If a guy is much bigger than you and has a great chin, he will be able to eat countless shots and survive.

3) Logan isn't just a Youtuber. He clearly has some skills and trains pretty hard. If you wanna see him against an average Joe, watch him destroy those 4 brothers like it was nothing. Sure, he isn't nearly as skilled as Floyd, but size and age can very significally decrease the effectiveness of superior skill.

4) The shocker isn't Floyd not being able to KO Logan, but the other way around. A 155 pound guy eating shots from a HW with no problem. Logan should be ashamed, not Floyd.

5) Floyd didn't look amazing, but he did outland Logan pretty significantly and even walked him down and pushed him around as if he was actually stronger. He also looked in better shape than Logan, at 44. If you can't see this as a respectful outcome given the size and age difference, you either have unrealistic expectations or you simply dislike the man and want reasons to hate on him.

The fact that Logan is proud that he didn't get finished by such a small and old guy is pretty pathetic. You should be ashamed that your supposed power amounted to nothing and you were back paddling against a grandpa who didnt even had a full training camp.

Floyd is hated even though he fought actual world champs, his size, in their prime. Imagine if his claim to fame was to survive 8 rounds with a retired fighter. Just let that sink in.

This forum sometimes man, I swear.

It was a freak show, Floyd is a shell of himself now and fighting a guy much bigger and stronger, who is dangerous despite his lack of experience. It basically went how I thought it would. Floyd was never a big puncher at 147 or 154, so people thinking he was going to one-punch KO a 200+ lb guy were just out to lunch.

Nope, lost all respect with that rigged Tenshin fight. That was WWE level of ridiculous.

WAR PAUL BROTHERS!

The expectations werent set too high. He was fighting a youtuber ffs. And he wasnt even fighting the brother whos been training for a couple of years now and has had a couple of fights, no he fought the other brother who only had one fight which was also against a youtuber.

The skill disparity that boxers like to deify should have made this an easy affair, regardless of weight and age. At least thats what we’ve been told forever.

His incredibly popular not unpopular. That is why he sells so well. He does have some haters, but he has a ton of fans in the world who view him as the boxing goat.

Floyd is one of the greatest boxers of all time. Despite everything else, it was a little shocking he didn't straight up dominate. Only logical explanation must be that he's fallen off a cliff and age has really caught up to him.

Wow you just changed everyone's minds.

floyd took the fight purely too make money and by doing so he ran the potential risk of diminishing his legacy. i dont believe his legacy is tarnished at all but please man stop making excuses for an elite 50-0 fighter.

Pointing out facts and logic is making excuses? Isn't he 44? Isn't he 50 pounds lighter? What gives you the impression that at 44, inactive, he should be able to do whatever you expect of him? What gives you the impression that outlanding his opponent isn't good enough for someone that age and that size? Your opinion is based on what? How many retired light weight "goats" have you seen fighting HW novices and knocking them out? You have no point of reference. You expected an outcome based on delusions, not facts of life.
