I hardly heard mention of the fact that her leg had been crushed in an atv accident only 7 months before this fight... She hadn't fought since the holm fight 11/16. Looked like the first calf kick Nunes laned fucked it up pretty bad. There was literally no mention of it in the runup to the fight other then anik saying it off hand when she was walking out. Much respect to Pennington but she should have taken a warmup fight.

I knew her leg had got fucked up but wasn't sure which one. Nunes took her left leg out with the first kick

'Don Logan' TS? YES, YES, YES,...lol...

She can cling to that excuse but in reality she never should have been in a title fight.

This is why you don't put someone who hasn't fought in over a year in a title fight

Imagine trying to figure out ring rust and how well your leg will hold up while you're getting bombed on by the hardest hitting 135 pound woman in the world

Stupid ass fight to book

I've been thinking about her leg since she signed the bout. I remember her talking about how she could have lost her leg on Helwani.

How she's even fighting at all is mind blowing, let alone a title shot against Nunes.

Well, that makes two times her leg got busted I guess.

I didn't think she would win but she was on a four fight win streak the most recent being tate. They didn't have alot of options given how shallow wbw is

As soon as that first leg kick landed big I was wondering if that was the same leg she had broken. I was surprised as well that there was no mention of the injury on the broadcast, because I was kind of thinking Nunes was targeting it knowing it had been badly injured not too long prior. With the layoff a warm up fight would've been ideal, but I guess they weren't brimming with options in the division.

youre boy got WRECKED TS.

who thinks a good comeback fight is aginst Amanda? only gremlins like edmond and rack's coach they only love money not the fighter

Did nobody notice the horrible scarring around her left knee?

Was dark to target the leg, but a fight is a fight and the gane is the game.

I was bummed after the first kick, it just kept looking worse and worse.

Didn't bother me... Fight should never have been booked, let alone sanctioned, but who else is there?

I'm a fan so I was looking forward to what rocky would bring to the table. That first kick I was like "oh fuck this is probably just going to be a beating"

Such a shallow division theyre probably going to book Nunes against Cyborg for yet another pointless money fight that won't really make much money
