I didn't think PVZ vs Chambers was a great fight. I don't mid lop-sided fights in a title fight, because the champ is the champ and sometimes they are head and shoulders above contenders. But this came off like a gimme fight to build PVZ.

Pennington is much better than her record but has a ceiling I think. Not sure what it is exactly. Her wrestle-boxing is solid, she is scrappy. Maybe it's that her striking, which should be her strong point seems labored and not incisive. Develop her kicking game might help as it would make her less predictable.

Pennington vs Andraade was an entertaining scrap, but sometimes that happens when the two fighters in question are just not very good at all. Mighty Mouse is a very, very good fighter; those two are mid level at best. PVS vs Chambers as a decent, solid fighter vs someone who had no business toi be there so I fail to see how it was better than the other PPV fights.

I thought that Pennington/Andrade was a very competitive, engaging fight, so I enjoyed it. Pennington was my favorite on her TUF season, so I always root for her when she fights.

I was a little bored during the Paige fight though. Paige always comes to fight, and this is good, but unfortunately I find myself agreeing with the WMMA haters who called it a "girl fight". There was a sense of watching two 16 yr olds go at it, namely because the striking aspect of the fight felt void of any power, and potential to cause damage .. so I couldn't take the striking seriously.

That said, I was impressed with Paige's ability to slap on that very effective armbar so quickly. Paige also seems like a genuinely nice girl, and she has a lot of heart too so I give her credit for that.
