Social pelosi vs “the squad” Rd. 1

AOC has accused Pelosi of inciting fucking death threats, assclown.
Your hysterics aside, what is it you would expect to actually happen in the party? A real prediction, go for it.

She guevara just insinuated her life might be at risk via death threats. Haha I know you always have your head in the sand but look up once in a while
Her life is at risk and she gets death threats. So does Pelosi (at the moment AOC probably gets lots of them). AOC trying to passive-aggressively suggest that Pelosi's criticism of her is adding pressure to a dangerous situation is really childish, though understandable. Not sure what you're referring to about heads in the sand, that makes no sense.

More telling than Pelosi's singling out those Reps was her not defending Ilhan Omar from the right wing attacks (even from her own party).
So, while I don't think she's racist, AOC has a point to call her out on this. And I like AOC a lot, don't like Pelosi at all, but I wish she didn't escalate this one quite so far as she did.
It’s really astonishing to me that AOC has such a big following, frightening would better describe it

Fracturing doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing. There was a seismic crack in the Earth between the traditional Republican “old guard” and Trumps “populism”, and that worked out. We’ll see what happens going forward but that seemed to me like an enormous fracture within the party and they’ve made it work for the most part.

The "fracture" generated by four well-intentioned but naive liberal cats is way overblown. Pelosi is learning them a thing or two about politics. She's a fucking G, and the race-baiting is going nowhere. They'll have to grow up a little.
Pelosi wants them in line and would prefer to try and beat them there now and not nearer the election.

The issue is not these new members further leaning left politics per se as that would be fine, but it is how these new members are alienating the Dem party corporate and bigger donors. These 4 may be able to win without big donor money but most Dem's can't.

it is why, even when the Dem's have power very little change is pushed as quite frankly the both the Dems and the Repub have huge cross over in the donor base who are paying for and expect mostly status quo with only small changes around the edges.

Pelosi feels she needs to end this idea that there will be any big social changes that their donors do not approve.

Hmm, I see some who used to laugh and say how awesome it is that AOC triggers people(lol an opinion they strongly had like one month ago) and also who never gave a shit about the shameless constant cries of racism everywhere singing a completely different tune now.

I think it's good... And not necessarily in the sense of "haha good. Bunch a fucking failures making bad press" To me it's good to shake up the norm to get some diverse conversation going and differentiate between some of the different ideologies within. If we're stuck with D vs R in this country let's at least recognize that this dichomy doesn't speak for people all across the political spectrum.

It's no different than Amash telling the GOP to pound sand and stick to his values. You have evangelicals, libertarians, moderates, etc within the party and it's good to split it up and know what you're getting instead of what you usually get when politicians start taking universal stances to try to catch all while it gets closer to an election.

The harm that comes of this of course is when it turns into a circus. Tweets, make believe agendas, insults and flat out immaturity just makes our political system look like even more of a joke and sets us back even further. The key is let the division within help accomplish something tangible instead of yellow journalism fodder.

I think that's all reasonable, but the volume of it is much lower than people are pretending. It's just not a big deal. It won't change party policy or procedure, it won't change anybody's popularity, etc. I doubt it could even change the picture of donations. It mostly just revs up dumb, crazy, or too-partisan Republican people.

This is what I mean when I say "overblown." This just isn't the hugely dramatic episode of cannibalism that you wish it was.

This is being overblown, I repeat there is nothing to see here!

You underestimate the insanity of the progressive wing of the Democratic Party.

It was a nice way of saying you got your head up your culo (as Tony Montana would say) politically

The Dem party isn’t looking very palatable right now. I think there is too much importance put on identity politics and of course pandering. The funny thing is the Dems pander to people whom are already guaranteed to vote Dem. That leaves a lot of moderate and sensible Dems hanging in the breeze. You have prominent Dems publicly saying they don’t have anyone to vote for presently and I bet theres a ton that think it but wont say it (no poll sorry)....yeah I’d say that’s a ‘big deal’

The icing on the cake now too is that the architects of the ‘green new deal’ have pretty much admitted it was for socialist purposes

If aoc goes down this road it will either end Democrats majority or kill this you’re racist card

Btw is aoc a woman of color? I’ve neevr heard her mention it before

Person of color is anybody and everybody who is not white.
