maybe because one of the charms of s1 was the fact that it revolved around a band of self-centered misfits being assholes to everyone who need to learn to work together as a unit. they achieved this by reckoning w/, & eventually unmasking, their emotional vulnerability. now that the characters have passed that juncture, it is much more likely that the internal conflict(s) causing a schism between the Team Peacemaker character relationships will only be a symptom of individual external conflict.

imo, the toughest task of s2 is making the stakes feel legit within the team dynamic—a team of self-centered misfits still being assholes to everyone, but whose capacity for self-sabotage has been softened by a shared empathy toward one another

This whole series exists because Gunn had the pull to write Cena into an R rated comedy series just to kickstart her career.

Not that I'm complaining, season 1 was fucking hilarious.

Teaser was ok, alot of feel good team up vibes. Gunns chick featured quite a bit, Cena really shined so hopefully they keep some of that magic in this new season.

Badass to see Frank Grillo as Flag Sr, I think he voiced him in Creature Commandos.

It was weird, different and new. It'll feel less weird and different because it isn't new.

A bit like watching The Boys for the first time if nobody massively spoiled things for you.
