Hogan was rumored to be facing Lubin on a Broner showtime double header. Not sure what happened but now he will be facing Charlo.

Christ these Charlo's aren't in the business of taking interesting fights.

According to our sources, Hogan will now move up to 160 pounds and face unbeaten WBC champion Jermall Charlo (29-0). December 7th has been mentioned as a potential date for the fight.

Super welterweight contenders Erickson Lubin (21-1) and Dennis Hogan (28-2-1) were on a collision course to face each other in October. The fight was supposed to serve as a Showtime co-featured bout in chief support of a potential Adrien Broner-Ivan Redkach main event.

However, BoxingScene.com has been advised that both fighters are headed in separate directions. The Athletic's Mike Coppinger first reported the latest developments.

so a 29 year old undefeated 2 division world champion is now fighting a guy who has never been world champion, moving up in weight after losing his last fight.

WOW how sad.
Who is paying money for this...?

FWIW he was robbed in his last fight

Agree with that but had he won (which he did) it wouldn't look quite as silly now...

You may be right. I am just disappointed in general about so many fights not being made. There is some competition to fight in Charlos division

A thrilling affair.

Sweet good use of Charlo's career. Went to MW two years ago and has done nothing. Soon the "FutureofBoxing" as he styles himself on Twitter will have no future left because he is too old.

So Hogan does better than expected against Munguia and then jumps right into another title shot a weight class up? There's no one with a win streak out there?

Charlo should be fighting better competition but I'm glad Hogan gets another good payday.

OK so this sucks, but it seems like none of the top guys want to fight Charlo. Wasn’t he Canelo’s mandatory for a bit? they still never fought. How come he’s never in the discussion to fight a good opponent and who SHOULD he fight?
