Weak, same as the last Fox card.. This is the last PBC on Fox too. Now its up to Fox if they want to negotiate more primetime events, which I doubt they will.

This is the 4th time PBC drew the lowest ratings for their network on primetime TV.
They got beat out by NBC Nitro Games..

I think the Vasquez/Diaz and Lubin/Montero turned off a lot of viewers. Its a shame because Deontay Wilder did 2.2 million on NBC last year. Gotta say Im not too surprised, I wish they put Adonis/Williams on that card (which was supposed to be the original headliner).

Considering the main event didn't start till almost 7, the ratings should significantly go up, but still. Wow.

PBC needs to go all in with solid match ups our they just wasted hundreds of millions.

Even then, it will still be less than the Omar/Demarco card, which did 1.3 ratings. This one did about 1.0 rating, which is similar to Spence/Algieri

For an American HW champion? Awful. PBC has to do better with their talent.

No loyal fanbase, no marketing.

Im watching Fox right now and every other commercial is a promo for UFC on Fox Holly vs Sevchenko

Boxing had 3 primetime events that lost out to BMX and Skateboarding. Its just not working right now.

I think fans think any boxing not on hbo or Showtime is the minor leagues.

I didn't like the Wilder-Arreola matchup, but I thought it could sell. My guess is that Povetkin-Wilder would do no better with an American audience.

What do casual boxing fans think of Wilder? Do they buy the "champion" tag as promoted by Wilder and PBC or do they know he's just a belt holder and that two European guys are fighting for the real championship?

Did u guys see vic darchiniyan get ko'd?

Was watching jordan his airness on nbatv, tuned in to fs1 for the tail end of the pbc show. Just casually watching and BAM, vic gets ko'd. Looked like he broke his nose, but just got ko'd.

All these brutal kos man, guy should retire.

Get the big fella to face a quality opponent.. Just an idea;)

That's what I'm saying. But they also have to promote these fighters better, get them out in the general public. The HW champs used to mean something, that is a paltry number at best.

Fox plays the UFC on Fox 20 every single commercial break, and they are making it sound like Holm vs Shevchenko is the greatest match up of all time.

Of course boxing promotors thinks its audience is too smart for that

They're wrong

Why are we talking about the average ratings for a card in which the main event and thus the peak was not factored into the number? I'm not saying i expect big things but this conversation is a few days too early.

1. Because thats what brings value to the network. We all know boxing is going to peak much higher and bring up the average, but the average is the entire time buy which is the most important in terms of ad sales.

2. The first half of the show got 1.4 million viewers and the second half of the show got 1.6 million viewers. I doubt it peaked much anyway

who for one second though Arreola would be a good opponent?

i actually watched the fight, but not surprised many skipped

We'll see what the overnight does but that is an absolutely atrocious number. Just absolutely embarrassing.

It also furthers my theory that the American public is pretty much over boxing after Mayweather/Pacquiao. Canelo has a chance to revive the market a bit but apparently it's better to not fight the guy people actually want to aee you fight

The 4 lowest primetime ratings for any network on for any show this year was boxing.

Yeah it's that bad.
