Matt "Path of Least Resistance" Korobov.
Flop of a prospect that struggled to beat guys he was well overmatched against. Charlo should TKO the fight out of him mid rounds.

Korobov's opponent selection is like the boxing version of only playing Halo on Normal.

It'd be cool if both Charlo brothers got knocked out on the same card.

Fox is going in big on boxing programming with the UFC going away to ESPN and ESPN+. This evening on FS1 they had a 30 minute special titled PBC Face to Face with the Charlo brothers, followed by Inside PBC Boxing for an hour, followed by two more 30 minute programs called PBC Countdown with each of the Charlo brothers in advance of the card they are headlining on big Fox next Saturday.

I agree! Yesterday they transmited the same shows on regular fox. Around 12pm pt

I was in the arena when Korobov about killed Michael Walker. The dude has power. Doubt he can land clean on Charlo though.

Once word of Monroe's failed drug test came out on Saturday, Korobov sought out the bout with Charlo.

"I was training to fight on this card so I am physically and mentally ready to fight,'' Korobov said. "It doesn't matter that I am taking this fight on a week's notice because I have been preparing for this moment my entire life. I will make a few adjustments for Charlo and make the most of this opportunity."

Korobov's fight with De Angel was contracted at 162 pounds, so he will need to lose two more than he planned to in order to get down to the middleweight limit of 160.

The southpaw Korobov (28-1, 14 KOs), a 2008 Russian Olympian now fighting out of St. Petersburg, Florida, suffered his only defeat in a world title fight. He challenged Andy Lee for a vacant middleweight belt in December 2014 and was winning handily when Lee knocked him out with a right hook in the sixth round.

The only problem with all this shoulder programming like Countdown shows, face-offs, a studio show and a weigh-in special aimed at trying to make users engaged with the PBC cards is that unlike typical UFC cards that have mostly competitive fights, these first two Charlo brothers bouts are almost squash matches, at least at the bookies. Despite facing opponents with good records on the face of it, Jermell is more than a 10 to 1 favorite and Jermall is a whopping 25 to 1 favorite. So it's not like you can watch all these promos and previews and have much of a debate about who is going to win. Kind of takes a lot of the suspense out of it.
