Whittaker moves too well for Costa to be able to cut him off. I think Costa unsuccessfully chases Whittaker all night and gets methodically picked apart, then finished.

Costa does best against guys who are stationary and let's him sit on his punches.

Whittaker fights very well off the back foot. Costa's charge in and smash style will not work. He might catch Rob but i doubt it. This better be for a interim Whittaker could have gotten a rematch off the Till fight let alone 3 fights against top 5 contenders.

I guess this means they really going forward with Jan/Izzy. Sucks for Glover because even if he tries to wait, Jiri &/or Rakic will elevate themselves into a #1 contender fight against him if either wins their next fight.

UNLESS, they do Izzy/Vettori 2, which seems highly unlikely. Vettori vs Cannonier makes sense, both having beaten Hermanson.

Because since getting smoked, Whittaker has kept his nose to the grindstone and beaten two Top 5 contenders, patiently building himself back up. Costa on the other hand has stayed on the sidelines whinging whilst demanding an immediate rematch.
