I remember way back when he was a full time MMA fighter. He's only fought once a year since 2017.

His physical prime of 26 to 31, he fought once a year and now he whines because he doesn't make enough money. Even on his present contract, a normal 3 fights a year would have tripled his income. Plus he would have had a couple chances to renegotiate as his contracts expired.

Instead he dicks around on twitter while his prime fighting years pass by. I guess funny tweets pay well?

The UFC is dumb in that it rewards fighters post-prime, and rarely recognises talent while they're at their best.

For every Sean O'Malley getting an 8-fight deal, and every 'prime vs prime' Volk vs Makhachev fight, there are at least 200 talented fighters under the age of 35 getting next to nothing for blowing their brains out against the octagon.

Everyone who fights once a year is not a sucker; they're the smart ones.
