My guess is that Conor's manager keeps jerking Pauli's manager's chain about a potential, big money boxing match, and then when Pauli's team starts to get all excited they pull back. Then they do it all over again a few weeks later. While Conor and his management team have a big laugh over jerking Pauli around, knowing the fight's never actually going to happen.

All part of Conors strategy? He’s definitely occupying space in Pauli’s head. Conor needs every advantage he can get in a boxing match
