I'd love this fight to be made. Conor would probably be odds on at the bookie so easy money to be made backing Paulie.
 
Paulie is trying to build up hype for a boxing match between the two. If Conor could beat him so easily, why not do it then? Would open him back up for other opportunities.

Conor definitely isn't a pussy. He still got in there with Khabib.

But he's definitely also a cocaine addict who isn't really interested in taking any meaningful fights anymore. He'll foolishly fight Khabib again and then after he loses he will dial it up to 11 until he can get a boxing match against an old veteran that is still in the media.

That's who Conor is.

My guess is that Conor's manager keeps jerking Pauli's manager's chain about a potential, big money boxing match, and then when Pauli's team starts to get all excited they pull back. Then they do it all over again a few weeks later. While Conor and his management team have a big laugh over jerking Pauli around, knowing the fight's never actually going to happen.

The term 'combat sports" is a bit cringe though, I am triggered! It is called MMA or (pro)boxing, both of which are prize fighting; heck you could even call it thd ultimate figthing challenge but combat sports...might as well call it gay porn. I used to root for this Paulie but now I'm sick of him, I'm back on Connors side.
 
Bumped in Paulie at a casino in CT years ago after one of his fights.

It was the first time I experienced "Jersey Shore" in real life.

I don't care who wins if her and Conor fight.

I don't take those clips too seriously or anything but It does sound like Conor did reasonably well for himself In there. That and the way Conor / the UFC handled It to make Paulie look bad probably hurt his pride a fair bit.

Being a 2 time world champion and having a guy like Conor who Isn't a boxer, however talented he may be appear to be superior to the media / world..that's gotta sting his pride.

Hopefully they end up releasing the whole sparring session or at least more of It. I suspect It was relatively close with neither guy truly dominating.

I think it's more due to the fact that they purposely edited to make Paulie look bad, I agree though that it was probably a pretty even contest.
