Paulie Just Got Fired From Showtime

Paulies the best announcer in all of Sports today.
Really is the perfect guy for boxing when it comes to broadcasting. Better than shit head Keigel and Dope faced Bradley.
Bradley has about a good 2 years in him before he starts getting up in the middle of shows and walking around because he doesnt know what's going on.
paulie's a great boxing authority, but what is this with bradley? you mean he's got brain damage?

It's funny b/c this endeavor was due to take place in Erie, PA, and my brother actually lost his license and is unable to find anyone to drive him even when I offered. He also is complaining about the purse now, needs to be 10k, and wants there to be blood, broken teeth, and he will only back down and "roll easy" if he's fighting his friends. We have some issues. Tim Allen better be ready.

Reparations have been roughly worked out to $150,000 for every black American alive today. Its a win/win imo, the blacks get their chance at the American dream, so long denied to them.. and white America can proclaim they've done their part for the sins of their forefathers, rid themselves of the residual guilt.
reparations is a stupid idea but I've always been all for it. Why do I think it's stupid? Well, because, how do you compensate anyone for time, for pain, for loss? You can't. But.., just about everyone else has some for of reparations, the japanese who were still living in the 90's got a reparations check of 20,000 for three years of being locked up during WW2, my own mentor said he didn't want to take it for whatever reason, but other Japanese, including my HS principal were still as bitter as hell all these years later and wrote about how the people that lost the most were already dead. And my people, the Indians, at least some of us get nice paychecks. But does any of it equal what was lost? Hell no, I'm sure my great grandparents would have been find and dandy, living a stone age existence, it would still be better that the condition most of us are in today.

I don't know if Blacks will ever get reparations, probably not, I think it's a waste of time for them to ask and fight for it but if they can pull it off, do it. It won't heal the damage, that is up to each individual and help from god. But why not pay them? Why not, we've paid so many other groups and not them. I think it's because it's just too big an admission of guilt, which is saying something because my stepdad used to tell me when i was 10 or 11 that the only reason we got money was because of guilt. You can't really fix everything with money though.
here is a link of a letter from my old HS principal: https://ddr.densho.org/media/ddr-densho-67/ddr-densho-67-177-mezzanine-b0a839d276.pdf

I've informed my brother of this and even still several years after the fact he still thinks he will beat up Ed. Stating "I will break his hip" no joke. I asked if he actually believes this, his response was a very confident "yeah" like it was a dumb question. No lie.
your brother sounds like he might be special.

curious, were the payments made to the Japanese directly to those who were in camps?

I've always thought one of the arguments against reparations for slavery was that you'd be giving checks to be people who weren't slaves

but did they not do that with the Japanese?

absolutely, you had to have been in the camps, however, by the time the payments came through, most of the people still alive were either kids at the time or young adults, my mentor was 17-18, actually a day short of his HS graduation ceremoney where he would have been valedictorian, the camps left him a broken man until he met Bruce lee, however, he never did go back to college after the camps, he told me he wanted to be a doctor before the camps but that dream was crushed. So..., here we have the endless debate, do we blame the system for breaking this man, ruining his dreams and his life? or do we blame the man himself who never found it in himself to go back to school, (was still young after the camps closed) and pick up where he left off? That shit can go on for eternity. But, i can tell you, he never really got over the camps, none in his family did, he spoke about it more than the rest but you could tell they were all scarred by it, just from little things they did......like never throwing away shopping bags and filling closets with them, oddly, even the children who never were in camps picked up these weird habits.

Yeah, I thought it was maybe just me, but Tim comes across as impatient/insecure and tends to get boisterous regularly. You can actually feel Dre biting his tongue through the tv at times lol..

To be honest, I feel most top level boxers are a bit egotistical by nature of the business. That is why it is usually two broadcasters and one boxer or trainer... as top trainers also are, by nature. So having two of them makes them clash.

I assume they keep Bradley cause he was trained by Atlas and is kind of a replacement.. I guess? I am not a big Atlas fan, but even he is much more tolerable than Timmah.

The insecurity is also a big factor, which I also feel Atlas always had as well

Very true. Tim seems well-meaning, hell he's an affable guy in general.
The chemistry just seems off and Ward wisely avoids picking any one hill to die on. Bradley could try being a bit more succinct, it's a 4 man booth with Tessatore and Mark. His over indulgences just stand out by contrast I think.

Modern Native Americans still are getting checks and all kinds of special privileges & benefits.
Nobody questions or objects to that.
We are still provide funding and programs yearly to Jewish people and the Holocaust museum. Israel as well, I'm pretty sure.
My thought is this....
What justification is there to say other groups deserve that stuff for their genocides but one specific group is wrong for even seeking or asking for it?

Bullshit.

Answer this honestly. Lets say we did give all black people an absurd amount of cash like that- You think the discussion is over? I never have to hear about racism again if we pay black people to stop talking about it?

no, it'll never resolve but that is part of the price to be paid. Bob Dylan said America is doomed because of slavery, it will always haunt this country no matter how much all us little you's and big I's want it to end.

Then its pointless and a slap in the face to all lower class people with the same problems but wrong skin tone.

maybe, my uncle who was actually a swede married into my family used to always tell me with a wink, "Pete, keep making them pay for the buffalo" and we'd both laugh.

Boxers analyzing the sport at real time is terrible sometimes.
Paulie is great, just, in every aspect.
Bradley is alright but hes getting those Chris Webber eyes, where they look like they dont know what the fuck is going on.

so, he has brain damage? I don't watch any boxing so I don't know, last i listened was an interview where he was speaking on brain damage and saying that it was a reality of the sport and that he wasn't coming back.

I dont know. Hes a fighter. So for a guy like that to form thoughts in real time. It takes him a second. Like Floyd.
But if u see them on video not being interviewed talking to people, they're flowing naturally. It's just a camera thing and a on the moment analysis.

Do you feel that away about Native American special privileges? Casinos? The checks they all receive still? Is that a slap in people's faces?
