Palhares Should.....

Let him fight.

The gouges are worse, but the submission wasnt bad.
Come on. He not only has a history of cranking subs way too long, he actually got fired from the premier MMA promotion for it. How simple do you have to be to not learn from that?

Agreed... Palhares has a high fight IQ. Incidentally, that is the only possible sentence in which Palhares, High, and IQ can coexist.

Also his camp (there is quote about it from Bustamante circulating). Some type of discipline is needed.

He has the mental capacity of a seven year old.

Pic of the pokes? oh yeah there weren't any. You can see him thumbing around for an eye in one of the gifs, but there's no way to tell from the angle if he poked, gouged, applied pressure with his thumb to the eyeball, or if he just used it to rub around Jakes eyes. The gifs are suspicious-looking but inconclusive.

He was warned for raking, not gouging or poking. No point deduction = No foul = no suspension = no ban

He was told by Mazzagatti to stop when Mazzagatti put his hand on him. That's what he did. Jake started tapping before Palhares even started to crank the sub, he secured the position and Jake tapped. Look and count, Jake taps 4-5 times before Mazzagatti touches Palhares, and then Mazzagatti slaps Palhares with his fingers a bunch of times before he actually puts his hand on Palhares arm. When he did literally put his hand on Palhares, Rousimar stopped instantly. Watch the gif carefully over and over, you can't see all those things at once. Watch Jake tap before Rousimar starts to crank (this creates the illusion that Palhares is cranking the sub extra hard, when he didn't) watch how quick Palhares stops once Steve puts his hand on him. Watch how many times Jake taps before Steve even gets there. Steve Mazzagatti fucked up.

Jake complained about gouges but his eyes weren't even bloodshot. Palhares was warned for raking, not gouging or poking. You can clearly see his fingers in the gif that led to the warning for eye-raking, and they weren't in Jakes eyes. He admitted to rubbing around Jakes eyes, which technically isn't illegal, unless he's rubbing a cut. NSAC fucked up by not being specific enough with their rules and by having a crappy ref.

You can't ban someone for life because the ref sucked and the rules are too vague. If Steve had taken away a point then Palhares would've stopped doing it or been disqualified. Mazzagatti didn't take a point away... because he didn't see any pokes/gouges, he saw rubbing.

Palhares followed instructions and he used a legal tactic, albeit a highly controversial one. Shields lied about gouges on camera for all to see, and threw a punch after the bell... I guess falsely accusing your opponent of gouging isn't against the rules either so both used dirty but legal tactics. Only one purposefully broke the rule, and he's leading the witch hunt against the other one for being dirty...

Sherdog ranking Palhares below Maia is pretty lame.
