It's more just that the guy is a bastard, eye gouging? EYE GOUGING!? Come on man.

Kicked out of the UFC for holding submissions too long and roiding, goes on to become champ in another org and may be stripped and kicked out for eye gouging and once again holding onto a submission.

As a fighter the dude is great to watch, such a powerful and dangerous submission specialist that you always have to give him a shot to win... he's like a big power puncher that always has a "puncher's chance" except in submissions.

Too bad he's a moron.

I honestly believe that if Palhares isn't technically mentally challenged then he's just outside the range. He's dumber than Forrest Gump dumb. It's a shame because the man is built like a gorilla and with the right mind in that body he could be the best WW in the world.

Almost feel bad for him because I don't think he does these things maliciously. But then again if I'd ever been kneebarred by him I'd most likely be singing a different tune.

The only illegal thing I saw there was Shields throwing a punch to the face of Palhares after the fight had been stopped.

Paul has some sort of problem to obey when people command him to stop, that's a fact.
Also a fact that he hurts people doing that, he's a big liability, and we can't have this sort of behavior in mma.

Let's not call the guy a bastard, really, he has no interest in being suspended or fired and losing SOTN time and again. I know it's bat shit crazy because of protocols and such, but they should just have a bucket full of water/ice when he's fighting, so that upon submission we throw the ice to make him aware the fight is over and promptly ice the other fighter's injury.

It's a shame we have to forfeit such an amazing fighter, and I loved to watch him submit Fitch, we all do, I've watched it about a dozen times, we just don't admit it due to political correctness.

The Lombard fight is my favorite, Hector just son'd him like it was nothing. I mean you have to overlook the fact that Lombard is a cheater and alleged bully, but still. If you dislike Palhares' antics enough, it's do-able.
