..when he fights anyone the same/similar size. Krylov was a light heavyweight masquerading as a HW. Pat Barry is a HW dwarf. Potts is a decent size, but at six two and 247, he's nowhere near Soa's size - considering Soa cuts to get to 265.

He needs to take on a monster. Any ideas?

Sasquatch Silva or if GDS can ever get through his hep issue. Overeem is a big dude also.

Krylov, who knows no grappling turned out to be a real test for him. Soa is not some HW dark horse, there are a lot of smaller guys in the division that will beat him.

All of his losses have been to fighters smaller than himself though.

Next he'll beat a monster and then you'll cry over not facing a top 10 opponent

then he'll beat a top 10 and you'll cry he didn't beat a top 5

then he'll beat a top 5 and you'll cry because he's ahead of some other fighter you like in the rankings and he needs a #1 contender fight to prove it

then he'll get a title shot and you'll cry because he's not a big enough name to headline a PPV

Then when he loses the title fight you'll cry because Cain has been the champion too long and has cleaned out the division.

We need to go deeper.

Soas test will come when someone who can take a punch takes him to the 2nd round.

He's loads of fun though.

He'll lose when he stops fighting bottom tier heavyweights.

We need to go deeper.

Well there are really 2 choices from here....either he gets a gimmie/rebound fight and fans cry about a mismatch.....or he gets another quality fight and the fans cry he shouldn't be anywhere near the top anymore.

take your pick :icon_chee

His test will come when he fights someone worth a damn. Size has nothing to do with it.

i tihnk he's earned himself a place to fight top 15 heavyweights now. give him a solid test in overeem, browne, barnett, any of these top 15 guys coming off a loss, then give him a top 5 and maybe a title shot after that or 1 more fight for the title. it'll take about 2 years but by then we should be able to throw all the other top contenders a title shot wihle h works his way there. and if he loses, well then we just keep moving on.

Are they bringin Eddie Sanchez back?

He should rematch Al Capone. Nikita was just getting warmed up before getting KTFO.

Problem is his Aussie fans keep overrating him, Soa had problems with his last fight & The Pitbull can end his winning streak

I tend to think we rate him pretty fairly. At least, I think I do.

Soa had a terrible rib injury going into that Krylov fight and it's obvious it effected him very bad.If you're a real mma fan you should know this.If you know this and still gauge his skills from that fight you're just stupid.I have been watching him for over 10 years he clearly had issues in that fight. My comment isn't directed at anyone just a general comment.Yes, it's time for Soa to step it up.I studied almost all of Potts' fights well before the event and was baffled that Soa opened at only -184.He's getting older now, they need to fast track his ass.I know Gabriel Gonzaga is coming off a loss(5 out of 6 wins before that and still ranked high) I think that would be a hell of a fight.

I think i will never be sold on him. I saw him choke real bad against the dude who looks like hispanic homer simpson in his ufc debut

Soa should just focus on wrestling, submission def, and mount everyone, also so should bigfoot, but what is rothwell up to? or maybe put soa against rosholt to see what he does when someone can wrestle
