Hey guys, ive been training muay thai for about a month now, and i lift weights, i was wondering if any of u have experienced soreness and tightness in your ankles/wrists. and joint in fingers and toes. I stretch when ever i can but the pain bothers me especially when i sleep. I was wondering if any one else gets this problem and have any advice like any vitamins i should be taking or anything like that. Thanks

watch your diet, and its a beginners thing when you feel like a truck hit you after every training, you'll get over it.

At the start your gunna feel bad but your body will ajust to the traning

ah, thank god you guys aren't just repeating what im saying... ow wait, you are.

welcome to Sherdog Shred, get used to people saying what you just said. If your wrists are bothering you it may be that you are not punching correctly. Your ankles and toes, it may be that you are landing kicks with your foot and not your shin. Have your instructor watch you throw some kicks and punches and see if there is anything he can critique you on to get better form so maybe you won't be so sore. I haven't been training very long and have never had that problem and I have some of the worst ankles you could imagine. Are you wrapping your hands before you put your gloves on?

It's just a matter of conditioning...your body's not used to the stimulus you receive from training...it'll adapt over time...

Just make sure you get adequate rest and food...remember, you stimulate in the gym...you rebuild and grow at the dinner table and in bed...
