Your take would make sense if he got to Chandler before his avalanche of losing streaks… but you don’t get much credit for becoming the latest guy to beat Chandler AFTER he’s already accumulated all that CTE.

I will have to admit that Paddy is better than I thought. But I will also say that maybe Chandler is not as good as I thought. The 2 year wait for the Conor fight at his age obviously didn't do him any favors. And his overall UFC record is not very good either. Not ready to crown Paddy just yet, but I think in ready to say Chandler is washed.

Agreed, I think it is even 60/40 to Paddy. Chandler was never a top 5 UFC fighter but the reason Paddy's performance was so impressive is Chandler was competitive against Dustin, Justin, and Charles.

Paddy's ceiling is definitely well above Chandler's level and Paddy also has that hunger and chip on his shoulder to not just beat Chandler but brutally destroy him that those other guys do not have at this point.

In a perfect world we'd see Arman vs Islam rematch, and then Topuria vs Paddy.

However, I think we might see a different version because Dana seems to hate Arman. We could see Islam vs Topuria right away, and that would leave Arman vs Paddy. But can Paddy beat Arman? Does Dana want to potentially burn Paddy's star power on that fight?
