Arum wants it in the Middle East. Fun fight. Makes sense.

"This kid Amir Khan keeps shooting his mouth off about Manny Pacquiao. I can arrange for Khan to fight Pacquiao. Amir Khan has been begging Mayweather for a fight and now he can get a major fight. I'm not a hard guy to deal with. I'm not going to mess them around.
That's a farce [Mayweather's bout with Berto]. Mayweather should have fought Khan next. It would have been an interesting fight. One thing's for sure, Pacquiao is not ducking Khan. Pacquiao will fight him. I don't know if Khan will fight Pacquiao, but it's available.
Manny's not going to fight this year. He'll fight early next year and probably in the Middle East. Vegas is a possibility, but more likely in the Middle East. It won't be in Dubai but it will be in the Middle East. If not, we'll do it in Vegas."

When it comes down to pen and paper, Amir will back off claiming he "already beat Pacquiao in sparring" and is more interested in the mayweather fight.

Pacquiao quite possibly knocks him out cold.

Pac will shrug off Khan's work and landed solid counter left hands, they'd all hurt him and it'd be a matter of time before Pac stuns him on the counter. At that point Pac swarms him and takes him out against the ropes.

Khan can't beat a guy that has great punching power + the ability to land on him regularly. It's why Brook beats him and it's why Pac does too. His defense and chin is simply not good enough, if he can negate a figters offense with his own he is fine, but there's plenty of fighters he can't do that with.

This should be a good showcase for Pac. I just hope it doesnt turn into 'Pac fighting the guy Floyd ducked'

Pacquiao isn't a great puncher at 147, IMO.

    Khan by TKO 11th round.
Pacquiao leaves stadium in standing ovation after giving Max Kellerman a jibberish filled rant in broken English.

I can see Pac hurting Khan with counters a few times like you said, but I don't think he knocks him out cold. Khan will get hurt and be on his bicycle, but Manny isn't as efficient at going for the kill the way he used to. He had Algieri dead to rights but couldn't finish him.

Their sparring sessions were always fun to watch, but Khan is a different fighter now and Manny is a lot older. I think Pac still beats him handily though.

If he's hurting him with counters then all it takes is a very well placed one to put him completely out, or as good as.

Although Khan has had some miraculous survivals in the past, he isn't that great at keeping his ass safe. He fires back too often and tries to hold inside and often lets his opponents fight out of the clinch and bust him up.

Manny's power at 147 has become underratted imo. This is the guy who dropped Shane Mosley and had him saying that he hadn't felt power like it, if he's doing that to Mosley I genuinely fear for Khan and certainly wouldn't rule out a brutal KO.

Roach is obviously a weapon in this fight, knowing Khan inside out. I've been critical of Roach in the past but he'll definitely have his fighter prepared for battle with Khan. Fun fight no matter how long it lasts.

Seems like a pretty easy style matchup for Pac but he seemed pretty disinterested in the Mayweather fight. Its possible his heart isn't in the sport anymore.

Could see it happening, Khan probably wants JMM/Pacquiao too now that Floyd is fighting Berto.

Interesting fight, Pacquiao isn't the same fighter he used to be, not sure if he wants to still fight, could see him overlooking Khan and get in a bit of trouble on the night.

Doubt it would happen in the UAE though.

Khan gets stopped in 5. Gonna be a fun fight while it lasts.

If Chris Algeri can "rock" Amir Khan and land at will, imagine what Pac can do.

I love to shit on Khan but its not as piss poor as we pretend. Ask Maidana.

Khan will probably get hurt, but Pac's follow up isnt what it used to be.

This is actually a good point. Say what you want about Pacs ability to finish/killer instinct, but he has been facing extremely durable fighters for a decade now.

have any of his last 6-7 opponents been finished?

    Mayweather?

    Algeri?
    Bradley?
    Rios?
    Bradley?
    Marquez?
    Clottey?
    Marquez?

Khan gets hurt and hit often...he gets finished, unless Pacquaio takes it easy on him because they once had the same trainer.
