Should be a great fight tonight. But, assuming Dos wins, how do you think he holds up agains Overeem? Obviously Overeem has the K1 background and is no slouch on the ground either, but his cardio always carries a question mark.

What about if Cain wins? How does he stack up against Overeem?

Personally I think Cain is a better match up for Overeem because of his wrestling, and ability to push the pace on the ground.

Your thoughts on both of these potential matches please..

Both are hard to call. I think JDS would knock Reem out, but I also think Reem could win using leg kicks, which JDS never checks. I think Reem would KO Cain because he has good TDD and is the far superior striker. I could also see Cain getting him down and brutalizing him with gnp, but Reem is good on the ground also. Both fights are toss-ups IMO

    I think JDS Ko's Reem and I have Reem/Cain at 50/50.

i'd like to see them both fight overeem.

i'd like to see DC fight overeem. i am not sure overeem walks over barnett either. alot of great matchups to come and surely if one walks thru them all, they'd be considered the greatest hw of all time.

Overeem is the very definition of overrated around these parts. I think he loses to both.

  8. I don't think Cain loses. But anyway, if he does, then I think Overeem should go thorugh him to get to Dos Santos. If Cain loses, then the Trilogy is dead and Cain becomes a gatekeeper. .

I think JDS knockouts Overeem but Overeem would beat Velasquez.

I think I would favor reem over both of them. you have to consider both jds and cain are still fairly new/untested. cain much more so than jds imho. alistair has been around the block a time or two. that said he has shown he can be hurt and jds at this point looks like he can hurt most people. reem is also vastly more comfortable standing and controlling a fight so if cain did get control and get him down it could go his way. either way i still give the edge to overeem against either one. i would say jds has more of a shot to beat him than cain but jds strength is the same and cains might be more of a weakness. either one off a loss would give reem the psychological advantage.
reem by hugeness, confidence and experience.

Overeem vs JDS will happen. Cain V. is getting KO'd tonight.

Overeem will then win by KO too.

I think Junior KO's Overeem. Cain vs Overeem is a real toss up. If Cain can't get it down, Reem destroys on the feet. If Cain DOES get him down, Reem gasses and Cain destroys. Both are good fights, but I'm hoping JDS wins because JDS vs Overeem is more compelling in my opinion.

both beat overeem in exactly the way they beat everyone else. JDS knocks him out, Cain takes him down and tkos him.

I favour Overeem against both of them, but JDS is more dangerous because of his power.

A lot of people like to say that good grapplers are Overeem's weakness, but in reality it has been good strikers who have given Overeem the most problems. Arona beat him with GnP but Overeem was pretty much done after the low kick. Shogun beat him as well but the first fight Overeem gassed hard and the second fight he got KO'd with a flying punch, not exactly "typical" GnP and it's not like Shogun out-wrestled him. Werdum submitted him but Overeem was doing very well up until that point and he later avenged the loss.

If Cain couldn't take Overeem down and hold him there he would get KTFO.

both are tough to call, like most say.

jds ko's reem early, thats for sure in my head. i do recognize the low kick issue though.

cain overeem is harder for me. cain would run into similar trouble with reem as with jds. and reem has a superb clinch game. plus, if cain gets stopped by strikes here again as I expect him to, then overeems job might be that much easier. but nobody really knows how well overeems tdd is, given it was the ghost of the shell of the spirit of brock lesnar that last tried a td on him. and overeems gg is largely unknown as well, given we havent really seen it for a long time and he might have more trouble with bigger dudes there and fatigue might still be an issue as ts said. i also think overeems kickboxing for mma is overstated a bit, id like to see that tested as well, as i expect jds to be the one to do - unless bigfoot can does som'thin'

I think they both beat Overeem. Overeem is too slow for JDS and his cardio is too bad to keep up with Cain.

I think JDS beats Overeem 6/10 times
I think JDS beats Cain 8/10 times
I think Overeem beats Cain 7/10 times
