People act like Blaydes was some kind of doomsday machine. Its actually one of the best matchup for the Reem right now if he wanna fight a relevant guy. Blaydes isnt a KO artist, he is a good grappler with strong wrestling, and Overeem actually has a pretty solid TDD and a nasty guillotine.

Both can win but I'm going with the Reem here. He might win a few one in a row then be KOd into bolivian when he is close to the title.

I'm disappointed in ufc matchmaking I would have liked Blaydes to wait for the winner of London card and give us a clear #1. I'm feeling Werdum beats Volkov and Blaydes beats reem, and the ufc pass over Werdum again for a sexier young guy who skirted around him as a contender for the 226 winner.

Still a decent fight tho.

Overeem might surprise Blaydes with his grappling. Blaydes will probably try to take the fight to the ground, since Overeem is the superior striker, but Overeem isn't Hunt or Ngannou on the ground and he might pull a sub on him. Interesting fight and a big test for Blaydes.

Overeem if he wins will be 7 wins out of his last 9 fights. 7/9 only losing to the Champion who has defended 3x and destroyed most everyone (a guy Overeem almost KO and almost chocked out by way) and to Ngannou who Overeem fought like idiot.
