I’m talking about from when he was just kickboxing, K-1 or even the Pride days. Not only was he physically smaller (I’m not going there), more agile on his feet, bouncing, moving in and out, but his personality was much milder and respectful. Now, his technique, maybe due to size, is this stalking juggernaught that just waits for the right time to pounce. He keeps a static guard up, barely any foot or head work, moves slowly, and just waits for that chance to let loose.

He also seems to have a much more aggressive personality towards fighters pre-fight. He only shook hands with Arlovski in the staredown and touched gloves on Arlovski’s lead. I’m not saying he’s a bad guy, but he’s got much, much more attitude nowadays.

All props to him though, lad deserves a title shot

He has implemented the way he fought in k-1 into his mma game alot more fluidly latley.

it's almost like he's 10-15 years older, so maybe he doesn't have the same spring in his step as he did when he was 23

Bulkier by more natural means this time

He has actually been respectful to every opponent since the bigfoot mauling.

His most static guard, as you phrased it, was during his Ubereem days. He's become much more fluid as a striker in the past year or two during his Jackson's tenure.

Valid point, if it wasn't for the fact that other fighters his age are still pretty agile on their feet. I'd say it was something to do with being 15 to 20 tonnes heavier.

His style is completely different than in his K1 days, where he had a pure dutch Kickboxing style (tight guard and powerful combinations).

Now he fights with his hands low, and seems more focused about distance and timing. At first I didn't like it, and I thought his "Golden Glory" style was better (after he lost to Browne and Rothwell), but it seems to work fine now.

Have you not followed the whole drame surrounding Arlovski and Overeem? If anybody was the agressor of the too, it was Arlovski.

He's finally placed the proper training staff to bring him to his peak form.

JacksonWink + Wim Hof = winning formula for Reem.

JacksonWink basically got him away from using the cover up defense that he was able to get away with with the K-1 gloves and got him using his feet to minimize exchanges.

Missed that , what happened?

Arlovski made a huge problem out of having to fight a 'team mate' and was pissed at Overeem. Blaming Overeem for putting the coaches in a bad position, etc Overeem remained as professional and calm as could be, and said it was just Joe Silva's choice and that he had no problem with the coaches at all.

Just check all the interviews and press conference that were before and after yesterday's event.

Wait, you think he was smaller for his K1 fights? Or has a cockier attitude now?

But is Econoreem the final Reem, or is there yet another Reem still lurking inside? And another beyond that? There could be no end to this madness.

Don't get too used to Econoreem is all I'm saying. If you get too comfy, when the next Reem pops out like the next level down of a matryoshka doll, you might spill your warm milk in alarm. And we wouldn't want that.

No he just doesn't have the gas to maintain the k1 style look at the Browne fight reem destroyed him that was violent knees, punches. He just couldn't maintain the pace and got caught because of it. He trained with Mike from Holland Mike brings that out of him however if he could keep that pace my God he'd be a scary dude nobody could beat unless they caught him of course but he'd easily be the favorite.
