Overeem rematches Stipe for #1 HW contender?

It Stipe is looking to reclaim his belt and it appears that Dana isn’t gonna just give him another title shot. Overeem said he thinks his win over Alexey Oleynik last night puts him 1 fight away from a title shot.

Why not have Overeem and Stipe rematch for #1 HW contender and that winner fights the winner of Lesnar vs Cormier for the HW belt?

It would especially be interesting if Overeem beat Miocic because it would set up a rematch with Lesnar (if Lesnar took the HW strap from DC) and rubber match with Stipe.

Keep dreaming, Dana just trying to keep the peace, Stipe won't be fighting and that's a promise. DC will sit out until the end of the year waiting for a Brock or Jones fight. It's pointless

First round finish again. Overeem landed a single significant strike and was otherwise completely out classed standing and then treated like a baby on the ground. Curtis blaydes has since treated him the same way.

Lesnar vs. DC is a money fight and Cormier is looking to set up his retirement not build up his legacy which is already solid.
