Overeem pull out of fight so he can be on same card with Anderson = more PPV = $$$

Shut your fucken face

Lets all hope the fight actually goes down this summer since hunt-jds aint happening.

i could see dana pulling this move but not reem. he has plenty of money already.

Anderson vs. Weidman won't sell much better than Cain vs. Big Foot, and could even sell worse. Anderson has only drawn big time numbers with the right opponent, and Chris Weidman ain't that opponent.

He pulls out because he's scared of JDS while at the same time saying JDS is scared to fight him. 2 fights scheduled, 2 fights cancelled due to Overeem.

the real question is did the ufc say overeem was hurt to move the fight to co-main the anderson card

silva's camp have talked about Weidman not being a draw, so it's not unthinkable to think they made a deal to have overeem-jds co-main to build buys

ufc 160 is still a solid card

Anderson vs Weidman + Reem vs JDS in the same card would sell a lot. I don`t think that`s what`s going on, but it would be profitable.

It does look kinda suspicious, but I don't get the need for the lying that the UFC conspiracy theory implies. The UFC can just announce that they're moving the fight back because that's what they feel like doing and Dana is MFWIC.

I'm sure the UFC considered potential for buys when rescheduling the fight, but there's no way Overeem faked an injury in hopes he'd get a windfall fight on a better card, especially considering how common real injuries are and the risk that Anderson or Weidman could also drop off that card.

not reem. he has plenty of money already.

This a joke? What are u his fucking accountant? Do tell how he made all this money fighting for peanuts in pride, and fighting once every year and a half in strikeforce. In his 2 UFC fights he probably doubled his net worth.

I'll add more fuel to the speculative conspiracy theory fire - the Reem needed more time for the TRT to fully kick in.

Anderson vs. Weidman won't sell much better than Cain vs. Big Foot, and could even sell worse. Anderson has only drawn big time numbers with the right opponent, and Chris Weidman ain't that opponent.

It's not just Silva vs. Weidman that's going to sell a lot of PPVs. This card will be on the July 4th weekend, so it has a very good chance of selling well.

If Overeem's contract gives him a share of a card's PPV sell, then TS could very well be right. It's a smart move to make more money.
