I still can not understand why Jackson doesn't have overeem work on defense and head-movement all day long.

Jab, head-movement, defense....some patience when Overeem goes into a fight...

thats all he needs to do!!!

Overeem's head has moved quite a lot throughout his career. He's particularly experienced in the snapping kind of head movement.

he had head movement in the fight with Chuck. But that was when he was in his natural state, the flexibility and speed is still there. He moved like a natural person. But in the post-PED period, he's still a lot bigger than his natural state so head movement is not as easy. I still find him lumbering. Watch how he moves in the Chuck fight, that's a natural looking fighter.

Head snaps back - Overeem falls down.

Simple really.

For sure, I've thought the same.. He can't be in that in-between ground. He's gotta be hulk or the far superior athlete. He did look loser and more athletic in his LHW days. He's never really lost the beginning of any fight in his career.

he needs a psychology to treat his head

Natural state in Pride? lol stfu

He had good head movement against Bigfoot. His major problem is that he freezes when he gets tagged and becomes a punching bag. There is no 8 count in MMA so his opponents can just tee-off on him once he's hurt. I don't think it's a problem that can be fixed with training.

It's not about the head movement. There is nothing wrong with his skills. Against Rothwell he looked even pretty damn quick. It's a psychological thing in my opinion.

Bingo. It's not even his "glass" jaw that's the big problem... it's like you said. Once he's in trouble, you just have to hit him again and again... because he won't really defend. He's rarely totally out (recently)

I think we will see a worse reem simply because he will be to tentative henceforth.
The reem is better being offensive.

I guess its pretty hard to change game of fighter like Overeem, been in the game for so long.

Of course!! It was so simple! Head movement, jab, defense...GENIUS!!

TS should offer to train Overeem so we can have a true challenger to Cain's throne. I'm so glad we have such an MMA savant in our ranks.
