I would say it would be fair if they made a title contender eliminator between Reem and Velasques, but since Cain is booked, I agree with TS, Reem deserves the shoot more than anybody right now. Also it is a bit refreshing to see Cain in a fight, that is not a rematch. In the near future JDS will be in the mix along with Cain and maybe Hunt. ( hopefully )

Just for the stoppages of JDS and Arlovski alone, he deserves the shot. But factor in the other two wins against Struve and Nelson before that and it's impossible to find someone so deserves the shot more him.

Arlovski had a chance to fight for a shot at the title when he fought Mir, and they stunk it up in there. Overeem had his chance and he hit a flying kick to the jaw and pounded his opponent out. I think I can finally let go of the hate I had when he was busted for PED's back when he was gonna face JDS back in the day. Overeem is the true number 1 contender now.

Werdum would want that rubber match. If Werdum gets the W I see him pressuring the UFC to make this a sure thing. UFC has had enough of Cain's failures at this point. From wrecking Brock to getting KTFO by JDS in Fox debut to pulling out of Mexico, he's messed up their plans one time too many.
