Overoid was the pinnacle of testosterone success but since his game change, you never know what kind of outcome you will get.

He could just as easily end up a title winner if the cards fall right... and he keeps his hands up

He could knock Stipe out one day and the other get knocked out by Frankie Edgar. That's why his fights are always must watch TV.

Econoreem was a lot better than Overoid.
 
Hard to believe he'll ever win a ufc belt unless.. he moves down a divison..
 
He main events non-PPV cards. Title fights are almost always on PPV cards, except for manlet and WMMA titles.

JDS recently had 5 consecutive main events in which he wasn't champion or challenger (during those fights) if that's what you mean.
 
imagine if Overeem fought with the technique and gas economy he has now, back when he still had his chin

he would have been HW GOAT
 
1- check out his salary.

They pay him a fuck ton of money so they aren’t going to waste that on a non headliner fight. If he is fighting, they will promote and try to draw ratings off of his name.

2- He bangs. Kill or be killed. Even his econoreem fights tended to have exciting finishes.
 
Doesn't he have a very good salary because of his contract? 700k or something like that?

Makes sense to use him as main event.

He fought for the belt in 2016 and his fight with Pavlovich wasn't a main event. His fight with Sakai will be his 4th straight non-title bout main event. Are you saying the record is 4?
 
People can say what they want about Reem, but for a guy to have been doing this since the late 90's - and still be right near the top... is damn impressive. He wasn't the only one who had a little extra horse meat back in the day - where are those guys now? Mostly gone, or totally shot.
