The hatred for Hildog goes well beyond her being a Democrat. She's a known shill, known panderer, has an inconsistent voting record, as many skeletons in her closet as any politician(on the "left"), and rode her husband's political career to the top. Not to mention superficial stuff, eg having an annoying voice and total lack of charisma. She's the worst candidate the Dems have put up in decades; maybe ever. If she manages not blow this one, she'll likely be one-and-done anyway.

I dont think he will give up, he is still in it mostly because of what a bad candidate Hillary is. If it were Biden or Kerry for example it would be over by now.
But Hillary herself is always close to the end. Just one of her many scandals needs to pick up speed.

If Trump can come close enough again, and voters will see more of Hillary when it comes close to the election he has got a chance.

I chose the date because if Trump makes it to 9/11 without giving up, he'll be riding the 15th anniversary scaremongering into the debate, which will be a momentum boost. I think it's 50/50 that he all but taps out before then, though.

Mark my words, a week before the debate, trump will release a swath of detailed policy proposals, like he just did on infastructure spending. Real policy, and clinton will end up getting sucked into a mudslinging competition, and lose.
