While that has always been true, it feels more direct today. The more radical a Muslim's beliefs, the less he cares about western aggression and collateral damage to his family and community (it's almost welcomed as a sort of fair play by the latest ISIS manifesto). And they will further find themselves influenced by secular culture, whether they want to be or not. I think that will mitigate some of the problems with the doctrine. There is already a mechanism for interpreting the Hadith and emphasizing where desired. That's going to be their way to worm out of the problem, officially. Even Islam left itself an out for apologists.

And if we could get Europe to exercise a bit more caution in who they bring in (far fewer young men), then civilization would be in a better spot going forward.
