Over 100 arrests made nationwide in Black Lives Matter protests

After police increased their vigilance following the deadly shooting of policemen in Dallas, US law enforcement across the nation went on to arrest over 100 people protesting against police brutality and racism on Friday night.

Thousands of activists marched across US cities Friday night, demanding justice for Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, black men who were shot dead by police officers earlier in the week.

The largest number of arrests was made in Rochester, New York, where protesters blocked downtown streets after a crowd began to gather from around 9:45pm.

Riots took place in other major cities including Baton Rouge, Georgia, and Phoenix.

If one of your protest tactics is to block off roads, what is your protocol for an ambulance? Is there an actual gameplan in the event of such a scenario?

Well, last time this happened, there was a video of doctors/nurses complaining about needing to get to work (hospital) but the protesters didnt seem to care.

Ok watched the vid. Thanks for getting back to me. I don't really have any deep thought other than you shouldn't block major roads for health reasons alone. You can't prevent health care professionals from doing their job without risking having blood on your hands.

The sad thing to me is that I think a lot of these protestors think they're the civil rights movement reborn when it's really just directionless anger and frustration with a fraction of the organization or mandate. So whenever the cops come to arrest or remove them with just cause, it just reinforces their martyr complex.

Well, there's a BLM march taking place in London right now, but so far it's peaceful. We don't have BLM north of The Wall, at least not in large enough numbers to notice.
