i feel if the idea of the www from mid 90's to late 00s would have continued, it made the list but what it has turned into curranty doesn't. what i mean by that is that most of it is now owned by corporations, moderated to suit certain agendas and what you actually get to see/find is controlled by a few.

As far as how the list has shaped us as a species, steel and written language are clear winners imo
And I gave the 3rd to gunpowder for how it changed warfare.
