We've seen what a fighter with decent reach can do to Jon when he can't stay on the outside stepping on your knees, he won a very close decision against Gus and couldn't even take him down.

It's a shame OSP is fighting on short notice, he has range, more KO power than Gus, covers distance pretty well, unorthodox and can kick.

OSP may not be champion material but styles make fights, and he can be a nightmare matchup if Jon is unable to set up his takedowns or hold him against the fence.

For all those who don't believe in upsets and like fairy tale GOAT stories, just remember a few weeks ago you saw Conor as goat if not the second coming of Christ, until he was slapped in the face - Wobled - Panic wrestled - Tapped in half a second.

If OSP wins it would be weird, he would then face DC, and Jon would be in a strange position

For all we know, Conor might still be as good as he was perceived - at 145.

The problem with that is Gus takedown defense is as good as it gets at 205 outside of Jones / DC. If it's the same Jon Jones that has showed up for his previous fights, he will take OSP down with ease.

Not to say I don't think it's at all possible, but if OSP has a chance, it's a fluke, standing first or second round KO or heavy hit leading to TKO. That's honesty the only way he can win. Not gonna be a decision, definitely not going to submit him or pound him out on the ground.

I like OSP....but he's fucked if classic Jon Jones shows up. and this is coming from a person who genuinely dislikes Jon Jones.

funny how the tide has turned - now its cool to pick upsets - jones could fight someone like maldando and i bet a lot of peopel would be calling for the upset even then

Anything can happen and thats why Jones need to bring his absolute A game

I feel like people are making these OSP upset threads just in the slight chance they can come back and rub it in if it happens. Have you guys not watched jon's last 10 fights? Have you watched OSP's last 5? What makes you guys think that this man is going to beat jones on 3 weeks notice other than hope for your bet slips. This is MMA anything can happen but if this happens I will be the first to come here and apologies and no doubt it will be the biggest upset ever, more so than Serra and GSP

OSP is a worthy challenger, all things considered.

But there is no upset coming.

jon jones is a proven killer. i really don't get how there are so many people on the OSP bandwagon.

Anything can happen and obviously Jones COULD lose, but I really don't see it happening. are people just making threads in the hopes they might get to bump it later on?

I'm not saying an upset isn't possible, but people using Ronda/Conor as the basis for a comparison to Jones don't understand what they were watching in their respective losses.

Could do the GUS rematch right away.
Okay with me

An upset like OSP beating Jones happened ONCE in History...

The only way Jones wins is if he takes Osp down and tires if up and hope for a late round decision or sub. He wont last if this fight stays on the feet. Jones boxing defense is his weakness and in this fight he doesnt have the crazy reach advantage to cover up his flaws

I'm actually dumbfounded at why anyone would consider Conor a GOAT..before the Diaz fight.

Go watch Glover vs OSP and think about that again. Jones is going to take OSP down and bless his face with some sweet sweet elbows.

I like OSP as a character, but he is no elite martial artist. Again, no hate, glad he got a shot no matter how.

But he has almost no chance. I wish he did cause I don't like Jones, but lets be real.... OSP is 30sec of cardio followed by 0 boxing technique.

Shogun, being the shot fighter he is today, made OSP look good. I miss Prime Shogun :(

Bottom line, War OSP, hope you have a ton of luck and pull off a devastating KO upset.

OSP is not a real threat, predictable beatdown incoming.

These upsets are becoming more, and more fun all the time. Sherdog blows up. Ppl jump off bridges, and shit. We drown in the salty tears of yet another group of huggers.

Fuck yeah, OSP. Make it fucking happen.

LMAO... Then watch Cormier bitch troll him online.

I see tons of potential comedy, and entertainment here. A Jones KO shoop extravaganza.

Who besides the most delusional nuthuggers saw Conor as GOAT?
