He also says he was going to fight Frankie

So he accepted Frankie but rejected Stephens? Ducking confirmed

He knows Stephens is a bad matchup for him. As talented as Ortega is, he's very hittable in boxing range. You can get away with that against Frankie/Cub/Guida, but Stephens would've put him to sleep with the same shots.

He really is the hardest hitting 145er out there, when he KOs people they don't fucking move.

That homie not helping Brian with those types of comments, lol

It's possible that he felt it made sense to have that kind of last-minute fight with Edgar because Edgar did a similar thing by fighting him.

well, dana is a piece of shit so that can be true

There's not many worse last minute fights to take than Jeremy Stephens tbf

It's so hilarious that no one wants to take responsibility for their actions. Just blame someone else for the choices you make.

Plus he's already trained for Frankie and it would be easy to rewind the gameplan, albeit with a few tweaks.

I hate to be that guy, but if he agreed to fight Frankie short notice but not Jeremy..... Then he's clearly ducked Jeremy

Why would you want to see Ortega vs Edgar 2, the fucking fight just happened and it was a clear finish in the first round.

And how was Edgar or Stephens going to make 145 on 2 days notice?

When you're that close to a title it's the smart thing to do, fighters have to take care of themselves because the UFC certainly dont have their best interests in mind. If Ortega was a few fights away from the title he'd have probably taken a risky fight. Youd have to be stupid to fight Heathen on short notice for no gain.

It's known he was the first to accept the fight with Habib a few months ago, but he's ducking Stephen's?

You're a special kind of stupid.
