Ooops, He Did It Again, Usman at 38

Well it took 4 take downs for Buckley to gain the experience to stop the takedown.

Would've been interesting if Buckley could handle those takedowns after the 2nd round.

I don't think usman makes it through 3 rounds if rounds 3,4,5 went the way round 5 went.

Some believe that he is. If you check the megathread I'm one who casts a vote for GSP as GOAT across all divisions.
Some people are stupid. There is literally no argument he's ahead of Georges. None.

Like saying it's arguable Izzy is the greatest MW of all time

Didn't watch because I'm done with WME/TKO. How many nutshots did he fake this time?

<{outtahere}>

Yeah, why doesn't somebody just teach him how to get arguably the greatest welterweight in history, who specializes in wrestling and top control, to just displace that guy.

It's so damn easy. As easy as putting your feet on his hips. Just that simple.
Usman specializes in Top control? Since when ?

Do you find watching UFC very low on your priority list these days? I find nearly every card is shit on paper at this point
Yeah, it's not really about competitiveness at this point but catering to demographics. Sure there are still amazing fighter/performances like Kayla's recent win, but it's like Toys R Us being acquired by a leveraged buyout. It feels pretty soulless nowadays.

Where does the idea of Makhachev being boring come from? His title reign has been FOTY, head kick KO, a war with a finish, and a quick first round submission.
Sorry people can't get it up like you is be for the crotch sniffers.

this was frustrating to watch. with feet on the hips Buckley could have stood up easy. He is too explosive to be held down.

Congrats to him but horrible for the division; the UFC matchmaking strikes again. So glad we can see another familiar name fight for the title in the most stagnant division of the past decade. Hopefully he wins so we can be treated to another rematch

Funny thing is when Usman was on his run people were calling him a duck for not rematching Colby and saying that he had to rematch Colby. After doing so the narrative changed that Usman resume sucks because he had several rematches lol. People were also calling for Edwards to get a title shot as he was on like a 9 fight win streak. The only rematch you can even say was unwarranted was the masvidal rematch but I think it's fine as it was a redo of a fight that took place in short notice where both guys werent at their best .

So I guess instead of fighting the guys at the top of the rankings, Usman should have just fought guys he hadn't fought before regardless of their ranking? This is what you guys wanted? Guarantee if he did that you would still be complaining about his resume saying that he didn't rematch rightful contenders.

He didn't fake any nut shot against Colby. It was a low blow and id you look at Colby history he lowblowed/eye poked 4out of 5 opponents after his fight with maia. Rda(low blow) Usman (low blow and eye poke) Woodley( eye poke and multiple low blows) masvidal ( low blow and eye poke)

Dirty fighter and a guy that makes up excuses after every loss yet you idiots believe him when it says it wasnt a low blow lol people are so gullible and dumb.

Dumb video. I've watched that many times in slow motion and close up. You can see the fabric of Usman shorts move after that kick. That doesn't happen if the kick is above the belt. Low blow to anyone with functioning eyes and no bias. Colby had been low blowing and eye poking fuys for years but yeah let's believe him that it was fake .

is last win before this was over colby, almost 4 years ago, at UFC 268. Alex Pereira made his UFC debut on that card. needless to say, this is pretty crazy

Round 1-4 Usman -- took care of business.

Round 5 Usman was trying to remove any chance of a Buckley Hail Mary -- yet he still fought to tie up Buckley with takedowns, whilst evading Buckley's fight ending heavy hands.

Like Ian with Prates, Usman handled the Final Round well against a desperate opponent.

Usman was very active on the ground and his cardio held up under the pressure.

Buckley got some valuable cage time against a high fight IQ opponent with skills and cardio, so Usman may have helped create a better beast -- Win-Win for the WW Division.
