More Bad News for sports fans like myself and others in the province of Ontario.
I had being trying to email DFS operators to see where/Least news was on the matter of issue with DFS, Daily Fantasy Sports.

Apparently now we have more bad news for sports bettors/fans in Ontario.
Ontario is no longer taking bets on UFC events. Whatever small UFC events or the larger PVP.

Now i would love to see Ontario say the same about NBA, NFL insider betting, "match-fixing" i could say the same for the current world cup or NBA, NFL.

You dont see Ontario's "Alcohol and Gaming Commission" going after World Cup currently.

When it comes to sports betting/Daily Fantasy sports. Unlike other provinces, US states.

This issue what is happening with this regulator in Ontario.

Is that they only believe this "Insider betting, rigged match fixing" is only happening to UFC.
When actually it can be happening to other sports but not limited to sports like soccer, world cup events and NFL.

This whole thing unfortunately had opened a can of worms.


If you are going to claim that UFC has "mixed matches" might as well just go say the same about the other sports.
But doubt this worst province Gambling regulator will go after other sports.

We shall see i am not hopefully.

I’m not even sure what your point is. But let me give you a crash course in Canadian provincial politics..

Alberta is by far the richest province in Canada, in terms of natural resources. Nobody else comes in as a close second. And it’s the ONLY province that has no provincial sales tax. Lowest legal drinking age. Fully nude stripping. Adult sex shops, casinos, etc, etc...

Directly, or indirectly there are relatively very few jobs in the whole province that would exist without oil. It’s connect the dots. Degrees of separation. The oil patch is responsible for ALL of it.

Alberta, and Quebec are pretty much wide open. They always have been. It’s akin to The Wild West. The province does whatever the hell it wants.

So when the Alberta government shit cans something. I guarantee you it’s a big deal. Because gambling is run by each province. For all intents, and purposes.. The government is “the house”. They are foregoing easy profits, by banning it.

And I don’t disagree with the ban. Over the last few months in particular shady shit galore has been taking place in the UFC.

The province thinks the UFC is crooked. As Joe Blow, from Kokomo I can’t disagree. It was only about 15 months ago that betting on just one single sporting event/contest became legal in Canada. It was always only a minimum of 3 different contest parlays that were legal.

Why shouldn’t the province refuse something they think is crooked? At the end of the day. For Albertans in general, more good than bad will come from this, imo.
