Looking for information from local boxers regarding local shows. I am in hamilton and train in kickboxing and boxing at Joslins. I am interested in competing in amateur events in both (i already have competed in kickboxing and karate) but upon looking at the Ontario Amateur Boxing website realized that my gym is not recognized by the governing board as a a registered training facility and therefore cannot host events (which explains why they dont lol). I know that if enough people expressed and interest in it the club would be willing to go through whatever steps are necessary in order to be on the list of accpeted gyms. Howeverr, my primary concern right now is finding out if and where i can compete without approaching them and asking them to register. I would like every much to find out information about promoters in ontario and maybe new york who put on shows and what i would need to do to compete in them. Anyone with any information would be greatly appreciated.

thank you for the great links. Unfortunatley the links on the ABC Boxing site are not working for me but im sure that it will either be fixed by them of by me checkign on another computer.

copy and paste them and they should work

In order to fight in Ontario you need to be registered with a club that is certified under Boxing Ontario. You need to pay your $50 fee and get a medical.
