Yeah, it was just one article in fairness and it didn't say it was bad, just that it didn't compare to his previous album.
I guess folks were wanting Voodoo part 2 with songs deep with that fabulous Stevie Wonder Rhodes at Electric Lady, but he went guitar heavy on this one.
Not as good as Voodoo to me, but it still slays any "R&B" out there now--no one does a behind the beat song like D'Angelo.
