Elections Only Bernie Sanders will end fracking and promote Green Energy

People should really stop demonizing petroleum as if modern civilization would be possible without it. They flip all kinds of shit about the US Shale revolution like it happened on account of the Big Oil majors. Most of the exploration innovators would actually be found towards the very bottom of the Fortune 500, if at all. A lot of them went bankrupt during the last pricing war of 2014-16.

There are simply unfortunate environmental byproducts that need to be dealt with, and they will be. Just calm down, baby. Nat Gas is also killing coal along the way. The Green New Deal is a non-starter though, and this would certainly look a lot sexier if it had wielded the geopolitical shake-up that it should've. It's an American triumph, but many don't see it that way. They just don't know.

We should have ditched the filthy inefficient internal combustion engine long ago. We could have been a BEV society long ago if not for the stranglehold oil companies out on us.

Thank God for Tesla, and thank God VAG got caught in Deislegate. Now the switch to battery electric is a lock.

Lmao ya 80 million lithium car batteries rotting in dumps a year would save the environment.

Promoting green energy is good, but ending fracking is a terrible idea.

It's always shocked me how Environmentalists are so anti-hydroelectric energy. They always claims some field mouse or random mole that will be impacted... The Sierra club will always find frivolous lawsuits to shut them down. They're as bad as PETA without the bad press.

But there's no denying the hydro-electric is by far the best combination of reliable and cleanest energy available... and also help alleviate clean water supply issues.

Russia and Saudi Arabia are feeling the Bern.

Braindead Leftists already ruined our nuclear utopia. We had a clean, green, sustainable answer but had to throw it away because of idiots. All the smart people say nuclear was the answer, but the "no nukes" hippies crushed everything.

Idiots.
No-nukes hippies did nothing. Show me the anti-nuke legislation they got passed in congress? GOP and democratic politicians alike may have underspent on nuclear R&D, but ultimately the free market is at fault - nuclear takes way too much capital, all front loaded, and is still to expensive after the plants are built to be competitive.

Who the hell wants to spend 10 billion on a nuclear plant with a bunch of construction delays when they can build a number of less risky gas, solar and wind projects for the same amount of capital and sell the energy at a cheaper price?

So was that whole thing with you a few weeks ago eagerly wanting to support Bernie just a troll? Or do you choose to support Sanders in spite of your obviously immense differences with him on the fracking ban, transition to 100% renewable energy and the GND?

bernie wont do anything because he is losing to joe biden of all people

TBF unless Bernie got the House and Senate too, it's likely he wouldn't have been able to take it all the way either. He's still a far better person than corrupt AF Biden and he'd be far better for our Country than he would, assuming a Democrat can even win in 2020 which is pretty doubtful at this point. Trump is not going to be replaced by either.

So in your expert opinion on black voters, do you think black voters lack the ability to decide which candidate they like for themselves and vote for who the "democrat establishment" tells them to?
Joe Biden. Joe-Fuckin'-Biden.

How is Bernie planning to do this as not president?

It would be horrendous for North Dakota.

I don't get particularly alarmed over the "ban fracking" rhetoric because I know it won't come to fruition any time soon. I mean, you technically could but it would destroy a lot of economic output and considerably weaken the US geopolitically.

Plus, we'd merely just become a massive net importer again. I like the idea of the GND and it's imperative we transition to cleaner energy. The mandate is just logistically and technologically impossible on the time scale being demanded.

I fully - Automated Luxury Gay Space Communism - supported him for the nomination and think the H2H's with Trump would've been spectacular. Bernie's a good dude with a career long voting record that actually matches his populist talking points.

You can’t eat a tractor either, but it sure makes it easier to produce things that you can eat.
That was the point of hemp. You can eat it. It’s protein and is loaded with omega 3,6&9 among a lot of other nutrients. Plus you can literally build a tractor from hemp and run it off hemp bio fuel.
What the fuck is wrong with you people??

If we went all in 40 years ago and grew the technology electricity would be insanely clean and cheap. We can run aircraft carriers just fine with nuclear. No solar or oil needed.
